DreamWear Mask
After months I still love this mask. I feel so confident that I gathered up my intensely over used ComfortLite 2 and tossed it all out in the garbage. I did have a wee moment of gratitude for all the years of good service from that model of mask. No, zero, marks on my face. No tugging on nose. No wa...

Re: Introduction - Newbie here...
I have no powers to do this except maybe that I've been about 99% compliant. ( I sometimes travel without my machine, when battery backup needed etc.)
So your 99% absolved, since that's all the power I have.
Oh, and welcome back!

Re: cleaning heated air hose
My hose fits nicely onto my bathroom faucet so I attach it and run warm, not hot, water through the hose for 10 minutes. Then I hang it to dry.

Re: Dream Wear Mask - My opinion
I agree the noise is a nonissue. I've noticed that it takes a few minutes for the nasal mask to warm up then it seals beautifully. Within my first few uses I was able to get the headgear tension just tight enough (not very), and loose enough (surprisingly looser than one would think it should be) an...

No wonder they eat then dry, no butter, no gravy, nothing. So what's a baking powder type biscuit called?chunkyfrog wrote:They call them "biscuits" over there.

Re: New Mask from Philips Respironics
The DreamWear had been so a successful for me that after two nights (and after years on the ComfortLite2) it's now my official new mask. Karen, I bought forehead pads from you for my CL2 years ago, and thank you for the many years of comfort using your product. I especially loved the blue with yello...

Re: Scared.
It is possible that if you wait for your mind/body which is in an addicted state, to tell you when it is time to quit, you may never hear that message. Perhaps the fear is your body trying to get you to quit.

Re: Dream Wear Mask - My opinion
10/22 update: Last night was fabulous on this mask! The first night on a new mask had the expected results of waking up many times wondering what new thing is on my face. However, much sooner than expected, I slept like a baby last night with one restroom awakening. My vanity concern of wrinkles fro...

Re: New CPAP user
It's good that you are paying attention and trying hard. That same attention and trying hard might also contribute to not being able to relax fully into a restful state? Kind of a catch 22. Sooner or later you should get used to all the apparatus and relax more. This forum made all the difference fo...

Re: Allergy and night sweats
Nothing in that article connects steroids and bacterial resistance. There are many different steroids too and I am recommending the more advanced ones - Fluticasone based. You're right which is why I mentioned it in addition to the article as additional info I should have been more clear. Bacterial...

Re: Allergy and night sweats
I would suggest nasal rinses every morning plus a steroid like Flonase - again taken every am. That'll help the allergies. Just my two cents, but I wouldn't touch a steroidal spray unless absolutely a last resort and doctor ordered. Bacterial resistance is just one on a long list of reasons to avoi...

Re: Allergy and night sweats
Do you have allergy symptoms more in the bedroom than the rest of the day. Wondering about dust, bedding dust/allergens (pillows, comforters or bedspread collecting dust), carpeting, air allergens from air conditioning our heating (are filters and ducting clean?)
