Do what you have to do, but without you yelling at me regularly, cholesterol will build up in my circulatory system.

I'm sure going to miss you, but you are smart to take care of yourself. Here's hoping the house will really start coming together soon. Move-in stress is so much better than construction stress!

there seems to be an ongoing issue with the kitchen sink. in for inspection, out so that countertops can be measured, then fabbed, then sink back in with temporary tops so we can actually live there.

many piddly-assed things like that still to be done (paging gutter folk!), but as i remember, you're an old hand at this and know the score.

rest of week should be pretty much us digging into the new digs and setting it up to our liking.

will post more pics when the dust clears!

Don't feel bad about the kitchen sink, Zonker. When we had our house built, we moved in Dec, NO kitchen sink, No countertops, etc. We had Xmas dinner cooked at least I had a stove, but... we had to wash the dishes in the bathtub! Son was home for the holidays but he hadn't realized when he can home for a HOLIDAY, he had to help Dad cut and paint all the trim for baseboards and doors... as a matter of fact I just remembered, we didn't have doors on anything but the outside ones. .
Before long you and Mrs. Zonker will be so happy to be in and settled, all the headaches along the way will just be a distant memory.

CONGRATS AND BEST WISHES!!!!!

Cheers
Nan

Looks good. I like the metal roof. If I was able, I would have one on our house, but current HOA restrictions prevent it. Gutters are a must have item in your part of the world. We had gutters installed when we replaced our roof after several hail storms. Then, we lost a second roof when a tornado spun up over our neighborhood three years later.

Congratulations on finally getting into your new home. Now the "fun" starts. Unpacking is always a pain in the butt! We have made several moves, mostly paid for by the military or my employer. They always did most of the packing, but it was up to us to do the unpacking and finding places for everything. That was always the worse part of a move.
