Re: New User, saying hi and Question
Great advice all around. I'll post info from the hybrid I'm using once it arrives, and let everyone know how it turns out. In the meantime, on the advice of a couple of posters here, I ordered a power-out alarm just in case =) The LAST thing I thought I'd have to worry about was LESS air, now that I...

Re: New User, saying hi and Question
I'll look into the alarm, thanks for the tip.
I can breathe through the circuit relatively well enough to survive, I just wasn't sure if there was a CO2 buildup danger or something like that.

RSS feeds for OSA/CPAP/etc?
Hi Folks:
What are good RSS feeds for topics surrounding OSA/CPAP and other things related?
Did a forum search, but didn't turn up results except for point mentions in some threads that linked to an RSS feed as an answer.
Thanks in advance.

Re: New User, saying hi and Question
one follow up on hybrids (or using a chin-strap with a nose mask, taping your mouth shut, etc.)... The chin strap I have warns that if the power goes out, the mouth won't open (which is the point) and "patient may breathe into the circuit." Is that something I should be worried about? Granted, air b...

Re: New User, saying hi and Question
Does the board have any way to "favorite" or "kudos" a user? You definitely earned one!

Re: New User, saying hi and Question
I know it exists, but I haven't been able to find where to obtain a current version. The links in peoples' sigs seem to go to the CPAP.com page for the ResScan software, but for versions that are listed as "Research Only."

Re: New User, saying hi and Question
Thanks! I kind of figured that it would as the tech said "any standard mask is fine" but I wasn't sure if a hybrid counted as a "standard mask."
Ah well, I'm a techie and gadget guy, so I'm going to look at this as just another piece of gear =)

New User, saying hi and Question
Hi everyone: I'm a new CPAP'er (literally started with my machine last night). Diagnosed with moderate-severe OSA, though I'm still trying to get my doc to give me the specifics, all I know for sure is my pressure is 12 =) I'm so glad this forum is here, I've gotten a TON of information so far. Than...
