Overflow Error in Encore Pro

Post by NightHawkeye » Sun Jan 08, 2006 5:57 pm

Encore Pro has given me an "Unexpected Overflow" error twice now in the past week after downloading SmartCard data. The error doesn't seem to affect the database, as MyEncore still operates correctly. But for the day of the error Encore Pro will not provide the "Daily Details" pages. The next day though, after new data has been transferred, the "Daily Details" become available for the prior day as well as the current day.

Anybody else seeing this or know what causes? It first showed up after I changed the Smart Card function in Encore Pro to "No Erase". I wonder if going back to erasing data after every download will fix this. No real damage done, just kinda annoying; plus, it makes me wait an extra day before I can see the prior night's data.

Regards,
Bill

Enocore Pro is a strange sucker.
You're right about that Jerry. Strange and quirky. Nevertheless, for someone like me, looking for answers, it and MyEncore offer an immensely powerful set of tools and I'm quite glad to have them at my disposal.

I'm hacked! Two days in a row it's given me the same error.

I'm erasing the SmartCard to see if that will help.

Bill

After erasing the data yesterday, it appears that the "Daily Details" in Encore Pro are permanently lost. At least I can still get all the summary information from MyEncore, I just can't see the time specific info.

I have a suspicion that maybe pulling out the SmartCard while having the unit on may have caused the error. I'll make it a point not to do that again and see if that helps.

Bill
