Re: Heat/Storage
Thanks for the all the advice! As it turns out... I was planning to just put the CPAP into a locker and not worry about it, but the lockers were also outdoors. I left my machine in the car, under the shade where it was a tad cooler than the 100 degrees outside. Everything is still in working order, ...

Re: Heat/Storage
Apparently they do have 1x2 ft lockers there, so I will try to cram it in. I really, really hate worrying about crap like that.

We're going to a waterpark, so I can't really keep it with me.

Re: Heat/Storage
Yikes...SUV so no trunk.
Crap, this stinks. Maybe I'll see if I can leave it at the hotel until we're finished for the day. But then we might not be anywhere near there later.
Thanks for the replies, everyone!

Heat/Storage
Crap. So we're going to Phoenix for the weekend, and there's about a 5 hour period of time where I won't have anywhere to leave my CPAP but in the car. It's going to be over 100 degrees outside, and over that inside the car. What's going to happen to my machine?

Re: POLL: How long until you started feeling better
I never felt bad before my diagnosis and I actually enjoyed sleep--looked forward to it and treasured my time in bed. Now....I hate going to sleep and put it off as long as possible. Never feel rested. Hate using my machine....but use it anyways. AND I'm thankful that I have a machine to use to save...

Re: Packing CPAP for travel
....but TSA did take my knitting scissors. I forgot my embroidery scissors in my bag once. My daughter was mortified - How could I do such a thing?!?!! I have never seen anybody that embarrassed over such a little thing. I have lost more embroidery scissors to the TSA then I care to count. They liv...

Re: Packing CPAP for travel
I'd LOVE to get to the point where it didn't matter to me! Just not there yet, and I guess it really is because of the stigma. This last time we traveled, we had to spend the night in the airport and I was freaked about what I'd need to do. We ended up spending an extra $160 to get one of those airp...

Re: Packing CPAP for travel
I would love to get to the point where it doesn't bother me who knows about my condition. But even after 5 (?) years, I'm still self-conscious. Lame, I know!

Do you all take your machine out of your carry-on to get through security? I hate announcing my condition to everyone

Car Temp
Hi, all! What's the max inside car temp a Cpap can withstand and not be damaged? We're staying the night in Phoenix, and tomorrow there is an event we're attending for about 4 hours and I don't know what to do with my machine. Generally the seating is not condusive to lugging a machine, but I also d...

Re: Feeling 'distant'
Yep--I totally get that feeling. And I thought I was nuts for worrying about not hearing someone break in once I started having the fan on to drown out my breathing. (Also fall asleep with the TV set on timer.) Thankfully, it looks like I'm in good company, and it's true--better to have the 7300 nig...

Re: Average hours you sleep ??
Ha! I thought I was the only one who takes off the mask in the morning and sleeps another hour.
Sadly, I average about 4-5 hours a night.
