asking for info . . . "reslex bipap"
Welcome to the site, palerider!

You may find more information if you search for "BPAP" or "Bi-Level" (please note the hyphen) when searching on CPAP.com:

https://www.cpap.com/productpage/3b-res ... humidifier

(Sorry. Couldn't resist.)

Go ahead, and go for it.
It could be a nice, concise guide for those who READ.
As for those who don't (or can't)--that much more to rag them on.

Doesn't apneaboard have a list of common abbreviations and basic definitions somewhere? Something like that would be helpful as an index included in the FAQs.

I second jnk's idea to include links to helpful threads as well as stock answers.

It may be out of my league to offer, given that I'm a newbie, but I'm going to be on winter break until mid January so I'd have plenty of time to help with the writing and formatting of a FAQ. I'm familiar with forum post styling + editing and I'd appreciate the opportunity to learn from researching, answering, and organizing FAQs myself. However, this would inevitably still require decent involvement from you, Pugsy, as I'd need an experienced eye to proofread. So I understand if it's not worthwhile; I just thought I'd leave my offer. Good luck and thanks for doing this!

We are going to put it in the Wiki so that we can do the type of categories and sub categories Geer1 mentioned.
Will include a lot of links to pertinent threads as part of the explanation process.
It would just be a big mess for me to try to do it right in a single thread/topic with a boatload of questions and answers.
I will do a sticky though to point to the FAQs in the wiki with a link just in case someone new wants to go reading on their own.
Miracles can happen.

Palerider is going to be helping me out since I long ago forgot how to navigate around in the wiki and I have to learn it all over again.
Babydino has offered to help proof read for typos and a little editing for clarification if needed.
Always appreciate another pair of eyes.

Remember folks...you are getting what you pay for here...and we all know how much that isn't.
It won't be perfect but we will do the best we can.

Oh....once OSCAR releases a newer version.....look for the SleepyHead tutorial to get a major redo but I don't want to do it until I am working with the latest version because it's going to have some substantial changes in it.
After the first of the year....sometime...is all I know.....So don't ask when.

I know, I know....I wish I was a better composer or people could read my mind. It's clear as a bell in my mind but where I run into trouble is putting it into words.
But it is better than nothing and I am doing the best I can when I do it. I know my composition skills just plain suck.
I wish RobySue was still hanging around.....she was go good at composition and her novels were an easier read than mine.

There was a reason I avoided every English composition class I possible could in college....I hate, hate, hate it.
So I know I am not very good at it. I tend to ramble way too much. I tend to over complicate things by trying to over explain things.

I will probably plagiarize what you just offered about the newbie thread and I need to fix that wiki link anyway. Last time I checked it was broken. You put it out there and it is good stuff and I am not above stealing it.
Ha, it is what it is at least you are willing to ramble as much as you do, I am sure most of us appreciate your commitment.

I'll write up some more and send them your way (directions for setting up OSCAR for sure). If when you are writing some of these FAQ sections and would like a little editing I don't mind helping out a bit.

Pugsy - If you need a proofreader and/or spell checker, I volunteer! I've always been a good speller. People I used to work with called me a "walking dictionary."

Done deal.

To everyone....when it's up and running in the Wiki...everyone or anyone who reads it is welcome to do a little proofing and send me a note if you spot something that maybe is a typo or poor structure or just maybe not as clear as it needs to be.
This is a group effort because it's meant to help the group help the people with questions or problems. We all can help in our own ways.

  • What type of SD Card should I get for my CPAP machine?
Any modern SD Card should work, get the cheapest available.

  • Do I need to Lock my SD Card?
In most cases No, unless you have a ResMed S9. Windows 10 and MacOS write Thumbnail data files to the SD Card, because of these files, the ResMed S9 will re-format the SD Card prior to using it.

With all other CPAP machines, there is no need to lock the SD Card.

Some books have been written in the form of correspondence between parties.
Sometimes it's a guilty pleasure--like reading someone else's mail.
I wonder if some people shrink from reading posts because . . . guilt, misplaced, of course.
Does anyone think it might help to remind people
that all posts in an open forum are intended to be read by strangers?
