Re: Any use for old machine?
no argument from me, send it to pugsy. just to explain a little more about what i said about donating to a dme, at the time i was with american homepatient or whatever it was. my stepson had had a sleeptest and told the doc he couldn't afford a machine and didn't really want one anyways. so the doc ...

Re: Any use for old machine?
Ask your DME or other local DME's. My DME doesn't call itself a recycler but does accept old machines and gives them to customers that might need a machine but can't afford to pay for it.

Re: Full Face Mask + Chinstrap?
A chin strap may help to keep your bottom jaw from moving/opening, but nothing short of taping will keep your lips closed if they want to open and leak.

Re: Quick Senior Design Survey for UNI
the very first thing it wants is your google account which is an e-mail. maybe the person can see it, maybe not. google can surely add it all to their profile of you for targeted ads. i guess it depends on their definition of not shared. just my opinion, everyone has one.

Re: CPAP Friendly Hotels
Since travel is picking up again, I though it would be useful to revive this topic and explain why I posted it. If you're staying in a major city - even in the third world country - the hotels will be just fine. However, when you go to more remote places, you're likely to find things like electric ...

Re: Brand new resmed 10, can't connect to wireless in Canada
machines get to the end user with a provider name. if the dme can't change or add it, then it must be coming from the factory with a provider name. i guess it's possible that some machines meant for markets without my air capabilities come without a provider or even no modem. maybe call and discuss ...

Re: Brand new resmed 10, can't connect to wireless in Canada
your machine doesn't list a provider. it will never connect without a provider listed. see if you can get a dme to list a provider and then see what happens,

Re: Question re:Bi-level machine RX requirements and other things
your insurance may or may not require a new sleep study to justify the higher cost machine. your doctor may or may not know what the insurance requires, do not trust what the dme tells you that you need. machines are sold on this forum with low hours on them. you just have to watch for their posts. ...

Re: Question re:Bi-level machine RX requirements and other things
You can buy from a private seller without a prescription. If your doc requires a sleep test first, you're not likely to change his mind no matter what you come up with.

Re: Closed MRI
The closed MRI system allows for finer resolution than the open MRI system. Due to the technology used, a closed MRI is able to capture the insides of the human organism with the finest precision. Specialists can have a clearer picture of the object and the resulting diagnosis is therefore more prec...

i got the original shingles shot and then a couple years later got a little shingles. then i got the newer shot and haven't had shingles again. i'm sure i had chicken pox as a child. whether you've had chicken pox or shingles get the new shingles shot. you don't want full blown shingles.
