No mask cpap

Post by gracie2 » Tue Dec 28, 2004 12:10 pm

Has anyone used the no mask cpap? I have a nose mask and nose pillows but still have trouble keeping them on at night and the no mask looks interesting.

I agree that it looks interesting. But, when I tried it, I found that the boil and bite mouthpiece was difficult to get fitted correctly. After getting the mouthpiece (mostly) correct, I found that it was too noisy to allow sleep. I lay awake for 4-5 hours determined to make it work. Finally gave up and put on the Breeze with nasal pillows. Same on another night. Threw the thing in the waste basket. So much for the "good idea".

I am really new to this group! I am a 'no mask' user, I could not get a mask that fit correctly. Now I have the mouth piece, nose pillows, etc. and am sleeping like a baby. I had to find a dentist here in CA that could fit me correctly and he did! It is great. If anyone wants his name let me know.
