Re: Do you keep a running record of your results – Looking for advice
For those using Oscar, is there a place for daily notes? Otherwise, especially for new people, tracking variables that aren't actual data can be helpful when troubleshooting. I have at times kept a sleep journal at the doc's request, a food tracking journal, a limb movement theory testing journal, ...

Re: Do you keep a running record of your results – Looking for advice
I download Oscar (old sleepyhead) maybe 2 or 3 times a year. On a daily basis, I use a spiral notebook, and record nightly readings which is on the led screen of my machine. I have a column, for hours slept, the three AHI readings, My 95 percentile, leak rate and trips to the bathroom. I use the sp...

Re: CPAP set too high?
Resmed something-or-other. Full face mask. Originally pressure was set at 9, then a year ago when my 1st machine died, I did another sleep study that showed I needed it set to 13. The machine is set by the DME and as I'm in the US, I can't access the program. Actually, you can access your settings ...

Re: New user with issue
Hi, new to the forum and to therapy. I tried to post this earlier but unless my post went into some approval state, I must not have pressed submit. Apologies if it shows up twice. I started therapy two nights ago but when I wake up yesterday I noticed a sizeable mark on the bridge of my nose. I did...

Re: Airsense One w/ SoClean help
And throw the soclean away, it degrades the materials in the CPAP. I agree 100% I agree 100% also. I have never used the so clean but a friend of mine that is a Sleep Study tech said that it definitely breaks down some materials. Soap and water your best friend. I like to use mask bright. But Dawn ...

I think the AirSence 10 Autoset would be a great choice. You will get sleep data with this one.

Re: Airsense 10 Chugging/Pulsing
The call was not overly successful. It was clear that I was speaking to someone in customer service with a cheat sheet, not a tech. She was more concerned that I had changed the settings from the way they set it up, per my original prescription (though actually, my Rx was for 13 fixed and flex 3, a...

Re: Travel Machine
Yes, that sounds like something to look into, (just ignore K5MOW pushing the airstarts, they're junk) When I do a craigslist buy of a cpap, I like to meet the person at a coffee shop or similar, where there's other people around, AND you can plug the unit in and test it. first, smell the intake and...

Re: Travel Machine
Airstart is in NO WAY the "same thing". Any claims to the contrary are pure LIES. It is a discounted, bottom level machine--barely usable for "charity" use. My old Devilbiss Intellipap auto (travel/DC machine) is preferable. I definitely don’t want this to turn into an argument. But I have talked t...

Re: Travel Machine
One of my main concerns about getting a brick no data machine for a back up or travel machine is what happens if my main machine craps out and/or maybe I need or want that data that I gave up to save a few bucks???? A valid concern. Believe it or not I have 2 AirSence 10 Autoset, 1 AirStart 10 CPAP...

Re: Travel Machine
Since the Airsense 10 line has been out for over four years, you might be able to score a gently used or new, out of box Autoset at Secondwindcpap.com. I would strenuously avoid the airSTART line, as it is bottom of the line/deceptively named. If you just needed a CPAP only. The AirStart 10 is the ...

Re: Travel Machine
He's used to the auto algorithm of the ResMed brand and each brand does their auto adjusting a little differently so I don't know that I would be changing brands. He might not like it or do as well with a different algorithm. All the tiny travel machines come with some disadvantages....to get tiny ...
