Re: Acceptable leaks?

Yes, Respironics machines report total leakage. Sounds that way. Either the pressure is too low to respond or prevent or she has apneas without preceding events (snores or flow limitations). Do you know what the makeup of her AHI is? Does she have flow limitations (to trigger pressure increases)? D...

Acceptable leaks?

First, I would like to say greetings to everyone again after a long respite. This post is to help my mom. She uses a Remstar Auto M-series A-flex. Her 95% pressure is 8.9. She uses a Swift FX for Her. My question us regarding her leak rate. Her 7-day average is 31 L/min. Respironics include mask ven...

Re: CVS Distilled Water Smelly?

I store hem underneath the bathroom sink. There are other cleaners under there, but no funky smells.

Re: CVS Distilled Water Smelly?

I have solved the problem by replacing the water in the tank every day, thus using up bottle before the smell develops.

So, how are we to dry out our hoses, masks, and tanks?

Re: CVS Distilled Water Smelly?

Just for clarification, my post was referring to the smell of the water in the bottle itself, not once it's in the humidifier.

CVS Distilled Water Smelly?

I normally get whatever distilled water is on sale. A few times now, when getting down to the last quarter of the jug of CVS distilled water, it smells FUNKY!

This does not happen with other brands. Anyone have this experience?

Re: Kenny's CPAP Thread

Which SH version specifically and build date? From here http://sourceforge.net/projects/sleepyhead/files/Testing/ Don't know why the machine didn't respond to the OA. It's possible the snore or flow reduction didn't trip the response or maybe the OA came out of the blue so fast that there wasn't ti...

Re: Kenny's CPAP Thread

When I enable the pressure graph, it never shows up, even if it's enabled at the bottom right. Mask pressure will show so I can turn that on. Do you think the machine didn't respond to the OA's because they weren't preceded by a snore? I'm using the latest beta version of SleepyHead on Windows 7 Pro...

Re: Kenny's CPAP Thread

I'll be posting data on this thread again, because I can finally access it. I had a filter on my profile that I don't remember ever enabling limiting posts to the last six months (thank again, Julie!). SleepyHead data upload! I hope I have all the useful graphs showing. If not, let me know, and I'll...

I ignored that spurious remark of his, assuming that he was merely feeling the afterglow of a controlled substance. I would NEVER think you were a troll, Tattooyu. --and FYI, falsifying IP addresses has become another tool in the internet fraud toolkit. You can't trust anyone on the web any more--i...

Re: Night Terrors!

Just some anecdotal evidence: I was prescribed Cipro (first-gen fluoroquinolone) a few years ago, and my GOD I had such terrible, vivid nightmares/hallucinations. I had to stop it and switch to doxycycline which knocked my infection out of the park with NO side effects.
