the machine is not too much bigger than any of the travel machines.
The S9 is actually over double the volume of an Airmini.

They're slightly smaller yes.
They're significantly smaller.
But airlines count a cpap as a medical device
Not all airlines, everywhere.

Re: Are travel CPAP machines worth it?

2. I still have to pack the mask and hose. How much room (or weight) does it save? It does save appreciable weight, but more importantly it saves SPACE , which is the most significant thing for me. I can easily fit my full AirMini "kit" into my cabin bag with lots of room to spare for other things....

Re: Limiting max pressure?

In most cases it makes no sense to limit max pressure. In fact, in very few cases does it make any sense to do that. The proposition that anyone should let a machine fully auto range all the time is popular with marketers, but it actually works fairly poorly in practice. Auto operation over a limit...

Re: Has anybody ever used the AC power on a aircraft to run a CPAP?

I had booked a particular seat in business class and they said that while it should be OK, it might not provide the power. Did I want to change to other seats in the business cabin that definitely would? QANTAS is without a doubt the easiest airline to deal with over use of xPAP in flight. At-seat ...

Re: Has anybody ever used the AC power on a aircraft to run a CPAP?

Resmed devices have been rated for 400Hz mains power operation as long as I have been using them (from the S7). The other thing to be aware of is that at-seat power is optional , and there is never any guarantee that it will actually work at any given seat on any given flight. Lack of at-seat power ...

1. Are those calendar days or usage days?
Its an elapsed time figure (calendar days).
2. What's the preferred way of storing the cartridge between uses.
It never get wet per se. Just leave it in the Air-Mini mask connector.

But I have talked to a certified repair technician and he told me most of The parts like the blower motor are exactly the same as the AirSence 10. You have been seriously misled then. The electronic componentry is quite likely to be similar on a generic basis to other electronic componentry but hig...

Re: Should a mask have a valve to let air out?

The vent holes for the P30i nasal pillows are diffused and up at the top where the hose attaches and won't be felt unless the hands are placed right on the holes. There are two sets of vents on a P30i. One is a set of pin-holes immediately below the pillows in the removable cushion assembly, and ha...

Re: AirMini reporting

Resmed definitely has an app that providers can/do use to view AirMini data. Whether a provider wants to use it is another matter. The whole supply situation in the US is very, very different to my country, but here... if I give my AirMini details to a provider and enable data transfer to the Resmed...

Even if true, that is never a valid reason, in principle or in practice, to limit others' easy access either to empowerment or to information.

Re: Discovery: Airfit P30i airflow restricts with firm bed pillow

But as realshelby noted, pinch one and I can feel a difference You may well have convinced yourself there is a difference, but I checked the flow rate on my P30i pillows at 14cms H 2 O. There is no measurable difference in flow rate at the pillows between neither tube blocked and either tube blocked.

Re: Discovery: Airfit P30i airflow restricts with firm bed pillow

The air tube goes along the face of my face on the Airfit P30i headgear. I always like to put my arm under my firm pillow as I sleep, and that "pinches' the airflow. There are air tubes down both sides of the P30i headgear, and either tube is quite adequate to supply full airflow to the nasal pillo...
