Re: Treading Lightly with Insurance

What the hell?? Krelvin from what I understood I had to have a fairly recent RX... yet another scam bc all it was was a chat with my Sleep Doc... Are you still on it? Its working? Good. Heres a new RX. Last time I attempted to score a machine via insurance 2015 I also had to have a fresh RX... I swe...

Re: Treading Lightly with Insurance

If you bought a machine in 08, I can't see how either answer would matter, the machine is beyond its life expectancy. I do feel your cosmic angst. I'm a virgin coming up on my first six months. I already bought a replacement mask on my own on the internet since it was cheaper than my copay from the...

Re: Treading Lightly with Insurance

Thanks for all the responses everyone! So to clarify... I purchased my very first machine in 08 out of pocket because my insurance back then stunk. Since then I've been purchasing masks and such out of pocket as well. I've had I want to say 6 different insurance providers in the span of 8 years (few...

Re: Treading Lightly with Insurance

Thanks Sheriff,

I paid out of pocket for my first machine... this next machine I'm goin through insurance bc they'll cover 90% of the costs after my deductible. Should net out cheaper.

Treading Lightly with Insurance

Hi all! I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea in 08... took me about 2 hrs to finally adopt CPAP - my insurance back then didnt cover much so I opted to buy private party. Fast forward to now. Ive decided its time to upgrade. I renewed my RX and sent it to a local DME. Theyre now asking me whether I...

Re: Does this graph look good to you guys?

Interesting idea pugsy! When I did my sleep study in 2008 I think my AHI was 16.

Speaking about these units. Just how accurate can they be at detecting events anyways?

It has been 4 yrs since I had my last study. I wonder if I should/qualify to retest under my insurance.

Does this graph look good to you guys?

So I've been consistent on my CPAP therapy for about 2 yrs now. When I look at my graph it doesn't show anything - to me - that is cause for alarm. Honestly though... if I dont use my CPAP for a night... its definitely not a night or day difference. I will say I feel unusual without the mask on... a...

Leak rate? Mfr #s vs my #s... I know I know

So I have the headrest and @ 10 i'm supposed to be in the neighborhood of 26ish? As a leak rate. I'm at 32. But my line in the report is super super straight. If it is straight... isnt it safe to assume that there were no major leaks?

Re: Does OSA affect ability to improve cardio?

........... I find that my muscles take forever to heal themselves after a work out and its a constant struggle. Approximately 10 weeks ago I could barely jog 1/4 mile before calling it quits. Now, I can do a mile (i want to quit at 1/2 mile) but I keep going till I hit a mile. ........ Definitely ...
