Re: Where can I download Encore Pro 2?

After using 1.8 for years and Mr. Skinners analysis, I purchased the viewer program for the pr1. Not good, I guess I'm spoiled. Info on acquiring pro, please? Thanks, in advance.

Re: Hypothyroid and sleep Apnea

For Armour Thyroid info, check out... http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ It advocates it use and some folks do very well on it (myself included). But the majority (and most doctors) recommend synthetic thyroid replacement. Remember, it takes 3 to 6 weeks to see any change in type/dosage of thyroid.

Re: Hypothyroid and sleep Apnea

My story is similar to Pam's with a bunch of years between. I was diagnosed with Graves about 22 years ago and had my thyroid nuked. OSA was diagnosed in 01. I've tried cpap, apap and bipap. I've tried--- lost count of masks and types. I've tried different types of thyroid. Today I feel pretty good....

Just a reader, but I found that there's a little box between the avatar and message title that will return you to new posts. I like the new look also.

Thanks Ozij for replying. Sorry, I messed up my model numbers. I do have a Puritan Bennett 420e and a Respironics Auto Bipap with Biflex with software for both. I just thought that they were both some type of event that the machines could not treat. Is this not true? Does the PB 420e treat A/Ca's? Al

Respironics Non-Responsive Apnea = SilverLining Apnea/CA?

Recently, I switched back to PB425e and noticed that .2 -.3 of my AHI is almost always Apnea/CA. But when I was using my Respironics BIPAP, maybe 1 Non-Responsive event a month. When I had my sleep study about 5 years ago, it didn't show any centrals but I also didn't reach REM sleep either. Are the...

Mine's off. I found my pressure kept getting higher and higher also. I use it as my traveling machine. The only complaint I had with it was the little nub for the hose broke off on my first one. That was a pain-- but it's still a wonderful machine (with fl1 off).

Thanks to you guys on this board!

I use a power strip for both my bipap and humidifier. I like this arrangement because I can pre-warm the water. It seems like the humidifier never gets warm enough if I don't start it 15 to 20 minutes before I use it. ps James, thank you very, very much for the software-- I use it regularly and it s...

SleepyNoMore thanks for the advice and I hope yours goes well on the 20th. Short version... I canceled my appointment with the Docter after he didn't return my calls. I'm looking for another Dr. Long Version... I signed up with this Dr. because he was the first I saw and he only recommended the devi...

I know the feeling. There isn't enough room here to list all I've tried. But currently, when I start to feel dry I turn up the humidifier-- way up even if I have rainout. And that's with heated Aussie hose and the F&P humidifier on the floor. This is crazy but, I've run out of water a few times. Dur...

Nose surgury -- CT scan?

I decided to take the plunge and signed up Nose Septoplasty/Turbinate Surgery. One thing I've noticed is that everyone seems to have a ct scan before. I asked my surgeon when it would be scheduled. He said he didn't need it, he could see what needed to be done. The question is should I be comfortabl...

Crazy, I went back to the Quattro last night also. My best sleep comes from using the optilife and taping my mouth shut. But after a few weeks this gets old (mouth sore and nose starting to look piggish) so I switch to another mask. I have a large and medium version. I used both last night without r...

Thanks, Snoredog for the info. My AI on the PB420e is 2 to 3 with about a third made of Apnea/CA. I think that's good but the Bipap or remstar machines don't show this. My requirements are lower on the PB420e, it's running 8 to 11 max--- this is lower than my Bipap (11/15). I'm not having much probl...
