Re: Have you ever almost gone psychotic from lack of sleep?
Back in 2003, I was withrawing from Ativan (Lorazepam). I slept about 1.5 hours a night for about 2 weeks. I would not say I was psychotic, BUT...I felt somewhat of a disassociation with reality, kind of like being in a dream world. I had very poor judgment. I would sit at my computer to do work and...

Re: A question MVP Healthy NY
I just found out that m v p healthy new york does not cover durable medical equipment at all. They do not cover physical therapy unless it is related to surgery in the hospital. Mvp sucks.

Re: Waking up every 5 minutes!
Because of nasal congestion I will frequently get up in the middle of the night for an hour or so, and then back to bed. So these 5 min deals are usually after having been up for at least an hour. I use a humidity setting of 1 out of 5 (low). The problem occurs when my nose in clear not stuffy. I h...

Re: A Night in Hospital with CPAP
I am very dependant on my cpap. I would (for psychological/emotional reasons) find it very difficult to sleep without my machine and would probably not sleep all night as a result. Gary [quote="RocketGirl"]So I ended up spending the weekend in the hospital after going to the ER with chest pain on S...

Re: Waking up every 5 minutes!
Pugsy, the software shows nothing out of the ordinary during that time. This happens to me fairly often but mostly only in the last hour or so before I finally get up. When it does I often see an increase in "events" but I don't panic because I suspect they aren't the real deal but instead are semi...

Re: Waking up every 5 minutes!
Mr. Monkey, I have good sleep hygene I believe. My software does not show anything out of the ordinary during the 5 min deals. No major line leaks. I go to bed at about 10pm each night. I do get up EVERY NIGHT at 1 or 2 am for about an hour with a congested nose. I have been having a problem for a f...

Re: Waking up every 5 minutes!
Tonight i will try setting my machine to 10 fixed to see if helps. I do have an unusual sleep pattern. Because of nasal congestion I will frequently get up in the middle of the night for an hour or so, and then back to bed. So these 5 min deals are usually after having been up for at least an hour. ...

Re: M Series Pro Noise Issue, Whine, troubleshooting
I had that same problem twice in 6 years with the same machine. I had to send it in to be fixed. These machines seem to do this after so much time.

Re: Waking up every 5 minutes!
Mike, I am so glad to hear that I am not alone. Everyone I have asked said that they do not even know what I am talking about. Maybe it is not so weird after all.

Waking up every 5 minutes!
I have been having a problem for a few years now that would happen maybe once a month or once every other month, where towards morning, I would sleep for about 5 minutes (dreaming) then wake up. After a minute or two, fall back to sleep for 5 minutes (dreaming), then wake up. I will often do this fo...

Re: Anyone trying to treat OSA with comorbid mental illness
Hey guys, Thankyou so much everyone for the responses. Sorry about the unclear nature of the question, but you have got the meaning of it. I should of made it clearer to avoid confusion. I meant to say - For patients with obstructive sleep apnea with a co morbid mental illness like anxiety/OCD or s...

Re: Oxygen supplementation
Robysue, I am familiar with the nasal cycle and that is what I use to wait for me nose to clear naturally. I think that if I did not have a mildly deviated septum perhaps when I clear on my right side it is not enough air when the left is blocked. Thanks for the advice on the nasal pillows. But are ...
