The Swift FX: A Love Story
I just started last night using my Bella loops because of this sliding problem, and then I see this thread.......and the journey to perfect sleep continues. I am going to try this so I can have two headgears that work for my Swift FX.

Re: Tips for SWIFT users!!
I've been doing the Velcro for the last week. .. I only have one issue, but it's a itsy bitsy one. . . the velcro really pulls my hair when I try to remove my mask. I'm learning how to do it without that issue, though. It's WELL WORTH the fact that my mask STAYS PUT. (!!!)
Re: Tips for SWIFT users!!
For those who asked, the first post in this old thread is the fix! Still works for both the FX and the Aloha masks etc.

Thanks, Steve.
Sticky back Velcro works like a dream.
I didn't even need the staples.

Very happy it is working for you, and I hope this fix helps others, even though I came up with this a long time ago, it still seems to help many with the problem of the back strap riding up and it seems to help stablize the mask too!
All the best!

Re: Tips for SWIFT users!!
Here is the post for the fix for pillow type masks that keeps the back strap from riding up, for the forum members who PM'd the last month or so! I came up with this fix in 2005 for the Swift masks, but myself and many others have used it with success on just about any mask of this type! This fix will probably go the way of the dinosaur as Resmed has come out with the AirFit P10, which I have used the past few nights and it is not only a brilliant design, no longer has the problem of the back strap riding up, is just about totally silent, and there is almost no exhaust air to deal with!
Hope this helps!

Re: Tips for SWIFT users!!
Yes Jane, this is my original post from 2005 and it will work for any pillows type mask and has helped many forum members over the years including myself! However, since ResMed came out with the Airfit P10 first purchased at CPAP.COM, I have used that without needing my velcro tip, but all the Swift type masks I have had over the years, including the Aloha etc. were helped greatly by the velcro fix! You might want to check CPAP.COM for information about the AirFit P10 instead of the older Swift for Her!
Best to you!

Re: Tips for SWIFT users!!
In response to the post by Thatgirl and others reference the dreamwear mask rear strap sliding up etc, this very old post of my fix for pillows type masks ( Swift, Aloha etc ) may in fact also be of great help for that problem with the Dreamwear mask also! Read what others have said in this thread and maybe it will help you decide to try it! The details are in the first post of the thread!
Hope it helps!

Thanks for bumping this. I'm totally trying it. I had a hard time picturing what you were getting at in the first post, but subsequent replies cleared it up.

OMG My ability to concentrate as well as to make heads or tails out of concepts/descriptions just does not exist. Up, up up goes my anxiety level trying to picture this.
Having been a visual person all my life, I sure wish there were photos.
Appreciate your bringing this post to my attention tho. #feelingstupid

Hope it helps!

Re: Tips for SWIFT users!!
I was originally trying to comprehend the strap idea posted at the beginning of this thread. Reading through 8 pages is way too much for me.
I did look at the pic as you recommended. Doesn't the velcro get caught in one's hair? Trying to translate that to the headgear on the dreamwear - hmmmm. Also who has sewing machines these days (not moi!)
Will have to ponder this some more.
Thanks so much for continuing to provide feedback.

Re: Tips for SWIFT users!!
This is such a small job, that many of us who do have a sewing machine, would prefer the good old needle and threadIamagolfer wrote: . . . who has sewing machines these days (not moi!) . . .
just because it is easier and quicker. I'm sure there are videos online illustrating how to sew. Who said it was hard?
