Flakes in mask.

Flakes in mask.
Have 4resmed s9 machines, no heat to humidifier or to hose, and occasionally find small paper like flakes in full face mask in the morning. Is this dried saliva, if anyone can shed some light? Thanks.

Yep, getting it occasionally with all four machines. Exact same settings and environment, have seen nothing in tank, which is washed weekly along with hose. Thanks.

And/or the mineral content of the water used, even if it isn't showing up in the tank. Are you using distilled water? That isn't usually necessary in my opinion, but some tap water has pretty high mineral content.BlackSpinner wrote:dried drool.

All distilled. I think the previous poster has it nailed; dried drool. That has been my thoughts all along, but there ismore knowledge and experience on here than at my DME.
