Where can I sell my ResMed Escape 2 CPAP

Post by Monte » Thu Dec 30, 2010 7:05 pm

I am having issues finding a place to sell my CPAP machine. Its a ResMed Escape 2 w/ H4i Heated Humidifier. Its in perfect shape and had one tube and mask with it and the power cord but I can't sell it on CPAPauctions due to it being a ResMed. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

You might be able to sell it here if you joined and allowed PMs.

You might want to tell more about the machine --like how long have you had it, how many hours are on it, why are you selling it etc?

It was my aunts and she had it for maybe 3 months, it has 30 hrs on it, she barely ever used it. I know little about it and just did some research about it. The unit is very clean and has a hose and mask with it. If interested I could send some pictures.
Thanks

I have got such a machine recently from my DME (under Medicare insurance). It's a lousy machine. Does not have most of the features that new machines have. I would dump it in the trash and don't make any one miserable. I plan to talk with my doctor about getting a more advanced machine.

If you can't sell it, please consider donating it to either the Reggie White foundation or to secondwindcpap.com. They place used machines with folks who have no insurance or are financially incapable of buying a machine. It is not a data capable machine, but for someone who has no other options, it is better than nothing.

Someone might want it for a back-up machine as well.

Remember when you price it though that price your aunt paid for it and what you get from it will be worlds apart. I am unsure how much you should ask -- but it won't be much even though it has low hours and it in clean condition.

Hi---I would consider donating the machine if I were you. Like the others have said it is a bare bones machine, not a data capable machine, but for someone who has no other options, it is better than nothing. I have one but I use it only for traveling --if it gets beat up or lost I don't have to worry about it. Don't have to take my sweet Auto on a plane.

You may want to advertise it on Craigs list for a minimal amount like $50.00 just so someone can take it off your hands and they can really use it if they do not have insurance.

Hope this helps,

Carrie

Just dump it and donate it? Wow
I have seen these selling for between 500-700 online
One got through on ebay with the heated humidifier like this one has and sold with a buy it now for 500. They still sell this machine used at different locations for between 500-750 with the humidifier like this one has. I am just trying to raise a little money for what we have had to do on cleanup of her apartment. Thanks for everyones help and opinions as I am very new to this and am very appreciative.

I seriously doubt those were Escape models... ResMed makes each machine in a variety of models.... Escape is the bottom of the line...no data capability.

I just looked up that machine on cpap.com and it sells new for $722. Granted it is not data capable but, nontheless, a very good machine for someone who doesn't want to bother with data.

SecondWind has a gently used one for sale for $249. But for $50 more a person can get a gently used Elite which is data capable.
