Don't forget to change clock.. ON YOUR CPAP

Post by davecpap » Sun Nov 07, 2010 1:54 pm

As I was running around changing clocks I almost forgot about the one in my CPAP machine! Don't want my data skewed by an hour.

Good thing I checked anyways as it was running slow.

My Intellipap changed all by itself!! Such a smart little machine!!
Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.

Impressive, considering my wife's iPhone has been waking us up an hour early all week, and is predicted to wake us up an hour late tomorrow

Wow.... my iPod Touch changed on its own. Something is amiss with that iPhone. I've been an Apple since the '80's and I've always been impressed with their attention to small details like that. Heck, they even had a fix in place early before the Y2K non-event! Methinks a trip to the Apple Store might be in order. I might go iPhone if Verizon gets them in early '11 as rumored.

Nah, Its all over the news - even the local news had a segment on it. Everyone's iPhones have been screwy since last week:

So is that an iPhone issue or an AT&T issue?

EDIT: never mind... just saw the stuff online. Some fixes presented for it.....

I see nothing in my M series manual about changing the time. I see nothing in the clinician menu either.

Maybe there is an app for my iPhone that will fix my APAP machine?

My S9 gave me fits last night when I went to change it, maybe because I did it just before 1 am, DT. Tried to change date back to Nov 6 from Nov 7. Said invalid date, data already exists for that date/time. Then set time to 23:55. OK. Then tried again to set date back to Nov 6 and got same error msg. Finally got fed up enough I took the SD card out and erased all data in the machine. Now I was able to reset date and time, now to Nov 7, 00:10. Reinserted SD card and it read data from it. Went to bed, got up about 7:30, and downloaded data to computer. Data for Nov 6 is now missing, but data for last night, Nov 7, is there.

I'm not sure what procedure one should follow to set time back one hour on the S9, but what I did ain't it!

UPDATE: I just looked at the summary data file on the card. When I reinserted the card into the S9 last night the machine erased all the data off the card because I had erased all the data off the machine.

So in case you weren't already aware, erasing data on the S9 erases machine memory AND SD data files.

Well heck, now you remind me that I've moved to a state where the time doesn't change. Guess those few years on XPAP in a state where the time changed didn't even get on my radar : )

I went in to check this afternoon.
My Elite was 6 minutes slow; hubby's Autoset was an hour fast.
We got them both since the spring change-over.
I set the time correctly in the clinician's menu on both.
Why go in to the DME for that?
I got a feeling they might not have a clue.

I am just going to leave the time where its at on my s9. It doesn't bother me if its off an hour.

I don't know why this isn't automatic but it is NOT. If you start seeing posts before (earlier) than the time in your area you will have to click the radio button for "Daylight Savings" on the Board Preferences tab in your UCP (User Control Panel).

When I went in to change the date, the final prompt (after changing the numbers) asked if I wanted to erase the data ...well, no <you idiotic designers> just the blasted time; the only way out is to exit without changing the time. Anyone know if answering yes to that prompt really erases the data?

Same for the older Remstar models.

With Remstars, you don't have to worry about your time, it just says go to Wal-Mart and buy a clock. jim
