Re: C-PAP Prescribed Pressure Not Actual Pressure on C-PAP

BigNortherner, thanks for your comments, I wanted to be clear and you have helped. The thing that wasn't working was the simple manometer. It required a "re-zeroing" to make sure the max reading was correct. She did not know how to do this and was grateful when I showed her how. She wasn't a grizzle...

Re: The Dangers Are REAL - Is It Too Late For Me?

Welcome James. I feel an exorcism (of sorts) occuring. I can hear the wagons circling and the wing flapping from the gathering hens. In fact, the breeze is so strong, it feels like my FFM in the middle of the night. You have found a spot where the angels will guide you to the success you are willing...

Re: Does anyone scuba dive or snorkel?

I have been a mouth breather since forever. With the good fortune of cpap, I have been given the ability to breathe through my nose when "strapped in" and when in optimal positions. I feel like I've been drugged when I can do it becasue it feels so good. I've also been a snorkeler for about 20 years...

Re: Humidifier

Early on I found a ResMed research article on comfortable temperatures and humidity levels for experienced (more than 6 month compliant) pap users. It was literally a cloud of data or scatter plot with preferences everywhere. There was a small cloud in the middle of the chart but was statistically i...

Re: S9 users please come in,strange noise with the machine

Bobby269 and Banjo make excellent points. We can't have excessive mufflers on one end and hypopneas on the other. It leads to a constipated machine!

Re: S9 users please come in,strange noise with the machine

Beylow , it is the hypoallergenic filter and not the inline filter. However, I think with my machine it is more a matter of filling up the filter area volume under the plastic cover with more filter material. If you don't need the hypoallergenic filter, try two regular filters since stack would be ...

Re: S9 users please come in,strange noise with the machine

My S9 also whistled when I exhaled. If I slowed my exhalation, the whistle went away. Since this really wasn't an option to lessen the noise, I added a regular filter to the stack of filters I use since I suspected this as the source. I tried several configurations and they all worked for me. Right ...

Re: C-PAP Prescribed Pressure Not Actual Pressure on C-PAP

The first time I returned to my sleep doc to assess progress, I asked the tech how they knew the pressure was correct. Like most newbies, I thought my machine was putting out too little pressure in the middle of the night and I wanted to check it to reassure myself. The tech said they dialed in the ...

Re: Totally off topic.... Perverts Only!!!

An old time father weighing in. My daughter is a single parent, beautiful, smart and good sense of humor. You remind me of her often. She is always in my prayers because, like you, she deserves only the best. Hang in there, you are in my prayers as well.
