Re: Occassional stuffed nose

With your note about no drugs, the only thing I recommend you check out is a nasaline. It's my first defense and the best. Most times I can avoid or greatly reduce the Antihistamines and Decongestants I would take.

Re: Help! Taking my mask off EVERY night!!!

When I woke up taking my mask off I discovered it was because I could not breath. Not enough air. I had to get the mask off so I could breath. Once I found out why, the fix was easy.

Turned out in the middle of the night I needed a higher setting on my machine.

Re: Joining the group tonight...

I keep looking for the post that would say, " Yes. The auto would probably be a better choice in the long term" but did not see it. You have the data recording. This is good especially in the beginning. Critical to figure out what is going on. But it will not adjust automatically for when you don't ...

The Activa LT is made for high pressure. Of the other masks I tried, it works the best.

Re: MILLET PILLOW

I got one - a buckwheat. The one with the 4" sides. I bought this from overstock and I think it is the same as the Regenesis Pillow. Anyway, I don't have the crunching issue others had. 2 hours of crunching? Wow. I don't play that much in bed. I wonder if the quilted shell on mine is part of that - ...

Re: What is your take on this?

Yep. About par for the course. Just wait until you run across a RT with an attitude. Or a doctor lacking in due diligence. I would not let them mess with my machine. I changed the default breathing timing and level to match my breathing and don't want to mess with it again; it works. I did record th...

Re: S9 ASV adapt humidifier running dry - help!

Are you running air conditioner a lot and keeping the bedroom cool? Mouth breathing? I have mine set to 72 also and it still goes through a lot of water. Almost a full tank every night. When you set the temp, that is the temp sensed at the hose end ain't it? Even though the hose is heated, I have a ...

Re: Getting A BiPAP - Anything I should Know?

I like my S9. Best yet. What should you know... The product code of what you want so you could ask the doctor to specify that. Include heated humidifier, heated hose if optional, permanent humidifier, filters, etc. Rent / lease requirements of your insurance. money matters. I printed out my (clinica...

Re: Gorilla Duct Tape!!!!

Yep. Duct tape. It works. Back in '06 I was tried all different brands that I could find at the hardware store. Ended up selecting all purpose duck brand duct tape; it stuck all night, no leaks and no problems. Blue painters tape would not stick. For some reason, I have not met many other people who...

Re: Need to change your Activa LT mask cushion?

Three months. By six, you will be really able to tell the difference when you get new. When you do replace the mask, see how "sticky" a new mask is. When you get new, try to make sure you don't get old stock. It is more an aging of the plastic than face dirt. Alternating the cushions may not be help...

Re: Craigslist scammers (???)

Craigslist. Amazon. E-bay. All have people who are more than willing to take advantage of you. You need to always do a bit of due diligence and understand what you are buying.
