Re: Velcro on quattro fullface slipping
I am having the same problem, only with the ComfortGel FF mask. I kinda figured out a way that it doesn't leak (too much), but now the headgear is slipping and I am finding the headgear unfastened in the night. I even tried tightening it, moving to a "new" part of the velcro, nothing is working. My ...

Re: My personal posts show up in Google search!
I don't mean to sound unsympathetic, but it is only OSA. Yes, it is dangerous, it is serious, even deadly if left untreated, but it isn't contagious. My personal feelings are if the people in my life, friends, family or aquaintances judge me for having a medical issue, then these are people I don't ...

Re: C-PAP and Pets
I use to complain that I could not smell. I haven't been able to smell much in the last 10 years. After reading your post, maybe this is a blessing since I am married to a Mr "fartsalot" and I have a Chihuahua who sleeps right next to my pillow!

Well.... It's official.... I'm hooked!
I still have not mastered the CPAP, however, I am hooked! I spent the night with my sister who lives locally. I forgot my CPAP equipment at home and decided to be lazy and not go back home. What could one night do, right? HA! I couldn't NOT sleep. I could not breathe. I felt like I was sufforcating....

Re: Water in Mask?
I also had my humidifier set very high as well. It was fine until the temp dropped in Florida. I woke up to a monsoon rain in my nose. On the advice of our fellow CPAPers, I turned down the humidifer and no rain.. I am a humidity junkie. I really didn't think it would work as I cannot stand to have ...

No, I haven't. Can you explain how the silicone ear plugs work to seal the mask? Thankscflame1 wrote:Have you tried Mack's (silicone ear plugs)... some folks use them to get masks to seal.

ComfortGel FF mask will not seal....
I feel like I am beating a dead horse here, but here I go again. I cannot get my mask to seal correctly. There is no one particular place that leaks, however I would say that the majority of the leaks are into my eyes. The DME, says that I need to "find the right adjustment" and it will work. If I h...

I also am using that mask and when I first started using it, I experienced pain in my jaw too. It went away after about a week or so. I now have other problems with the mask. But that is another thread... =)

Re: So much for thinking I conquered the CPAP
Here's an update: I did turn down my humidifer to 4.0. That is much better, no facials. Now, here's a new problem... my mask will not seal. I played with it yesterday, before I was too tired. I adjusted here and there and everywhere. I laid down moved around and it was fine. Actually it was more com...

Re: So much for thinking I conquered the CPAP
I have never turned off the humidifier and I don't have heat in the house. Maybe my hose just got too cold. Oh, and I realized that my humidifer is set at 4.5. If you don't have central heat and the outside temperature did drop into the mid 30s, the I think the problem may well have been that the h...

Re: MRSA and sanitizing equipment!!!
To be completely honest Hosie, I have only cleaned my machine once with vingear and water since beginning CPAP therapy. I know I am suppose to clean it weekly, but I dont. I only use distilled water, I never disconnect my hose and when I wake up, I hang my mask on my headboard. I have had sores in m...

Re: So much for thinking I conquered the CPAP
Can you believe that I still wake up at times with dry sinuses at 4.5? This is the second machine I have had, because the first machines' humidifier would not go high enough.chunkyfrog wrote:4.5 is way high for me, I get rainout all the time if my humidity is above 3.0.
