Chat Room & the Banned

Post by scrapper » Sat Oct 30, 2010 8:14 am

How is it that banned individuals can still take over the chat room?

There's so much I could say, but I won't.................hate to feed the trolls.

Hi Scrapper

It is simple.

A very basic defect of the Chat Room is that any member can use any name they want to. And it now appears that non-members can also use it.

They do not have to use their Forum name.

However, my bet is that the person in the Chat Room is Calist

cheers

I looked at the list of people in there and left immediately.

But yes it never checks if you use your forum handle or not. I don't anymore because being referred to as BS annoyed me.

I just go in, pop some popcorn, sit back and watch the entertainment. I don't say a word, just watch.

I'm sorry Black Spinner, I'm guilty of doing that just to eliminate key strokes but I won't do it again, promise!

I usually stop in the chat about once a week or so. Went in the other night, saw the list, and the hair on the back of my neck literally stood up. Needless to say, I didn't hang around long.

well like a barroom fight, one has a quick decision to make -- either join in or flee --

I think the idiot is pathetic and really needs attention -- and will take either negative attention (in this case because there isn't anyone thinking anything positive about this twit).....

so.....narcissists tend to dry up and blow away if they don't get any attention at all....so maybe that's best....but it did feel good to blow off some steam at the twit a few minutes ago....it gave me MY dose of "supply" .....haha -- that I'll be good for that now for months....years even.

the forum really needs some moderators who can shut down the creep whenever it or its alias minnions show up

Oh? oh well...I think a good moderator....a GOOD moderator can be beneficial....but everyone has their own opinion of course. Actually it takes a few good moderators to get it done because not everyone is able to moderate 24/7 of course.
