Re: Having a new problem with Liberty Hybrid mask
So, a little update on this one. I held off on replacing the cushions. I am now bald, and the straps fit my head better than they ever did. I guess my hair was part of the problem in tightening the straps and the mask really was slipping off my head while I slept, just enough to blow the pillow out ...

Re: Having a new problem with Liberty Hybrid mask
Just an FYI, the Amara View is a FFM released fall 2015 and it doesn't go over the bridge of your nose. Since it is new, thought I would let you know it exists. It is the only one that fits my face and doesn't set off claustrophobia so far out of FFM. And it plays nicely with my TMJ bite guard. Mig...

Re: Having a new problem with Liberty Hybrid mask
I didn't have a lot of luck with the mask you're using due to leakage, so no specific mask suggestions. I didn't see where you mentioned the reason for going with a hybrid. Anyway, I just wanted to say good luck with the outcome of your upcoming brain surgery Skip the duct tape, way overkill. I lik...

Re: Having a new problem with Liberty Hybrid mask
Does anyone have any non-duct-tape suggestions? Find the ladies tights fix on this page - http://www.cpaptalk.com/wiki/index.php/Hybrid_Mask_Modifications There is also an illustration. I have used this fix on my Innomed Hybrid every night for about five years. Works well. Make sure you don't cover...

Having a new problem with Liberty Hybrid mask
Hi everyone, I've been using the Liberty Hybrid mask with my S9 for several years with great success-- 100% compliant, no AHI, can't imagine life without it. I've had a new problem lately, though. I sleep on my left side (my back is toast and this is the position that works best for me if I'm actual...

Re: Cpaptalk Web Site
Looks like the result of a denial of service attack. The server was up and running but the board application was not responding. Why would this happen to the forum unless someone has an axe to grind against the forum. DDoS attacks are increasingly randomly launched. And depending on how the board i...

Re: Denial. Why did you decide to try a CPAP?
I was diagnosed at 17. My machine was used for exactly three hours. At 24 years old, I had a baby. I also had a TIA. These were related events, and while the cause of the TIA was pre-eclampsia, I was warned rather strongly that refusal to comply with CPAP therapy would certainly lead to another, and...

Re: Machine error +redefine values for original
How old is the machine? I have heard that this can happen when the battery on the motherboard that keeps time, date, and therapy settings eventually goes flat.

Re: I am angry at my masks. (leaks, neck pain, severe agitation)
I would suggest narrowing your APAP pressure spread to numbers that are closer to your 95% pressure. Starting at 4 cm H2O seems a little low. As far masks, I have had clients try literally a dozen before they found one that works well for them. You say you have a Quattro, if it's the FX, you might ...

I am angry at my masks. (leaks, neck pain, severe agitation)
Relevant details: AHI 140+, APAP pressure 4-16, mouth breather, side sleeper, septum deviated bilaterally, Contour 5" CPAP pillow, overbite I have two masks I use: one a Mirage Liberty hybrid, the other a Quattro. I have been back on PAP therapy for a week. My data looks good-- AHI is down to 1, mos...

Re: Apnea/Reflux/LPR/ and Daytime Shortness of Breath Anybody?
You just replied to a 3 yr old thread... I've never quite understood why this is such a cardinal sin. I too have LPR and found the responses interesting and informative, yet forum police treat it as if it were a crime. I never understood this either. Even if the information isn't useful to the orig...

Re: Apnea/Reflux/LPR/ and Daytime Shortness of Breath Anybody?
I have LPR diagnosed by EGD and some funny string-swallow test. Yes, I occasionally feel short of breath during the day. This is usually because of inflammation in my upper respiratory tract from poorly managed reflux. I do not feel that I can get enough air. 120mg/day of Dexilant helps keep the sto...

Re: Automatic startup on ResMed S9??
Hold down the bottom button (with the checkmarks) and the dial button at the same time. That'll unlock the settings. Turn the knob once to access Options, then press the knob. Then turn it again until you reach SmartStart. You can then set it to either "on" or 'patient". Setting it to "patient" is g...

Karen are you able to access the clinician menu? that's where the setting lives.
