Was able to find the "smartcard reader" this time and finished installing (I HOPE). Will see now if it is working.

Make sure you install the software for the card reader BEFORE you install the actual card reader.

Go into device manager and delete the entry from there and then install the software again making sure that you click through (say yes) to all the warning messages.

Once you have the software (drivers) installed, then plug in the card reader.

IT'S WORKING!!!
Encorepro and the card reader are working. I downloaded some info from my old card--just gives compliance. Will now be able to do the new card from the Auto.
THANKS SOOOO MUCH FOR ALL THE HELP.

Uh...now I need to make sure myecore will work. Anybody willing to help with that one?

It is on my desktop but do I just make sure encorepro is open before trying to open myencore?

Double clicked on myencore.
Security warning comes up asking if I am sure I want to run this. I click run.
Get this message "This installation package could not be opened. contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer Package."It won't let me install.

Should I try to uninstall before I try a second download?

doesn't sound like it is installed from the message you had -

when you download it again you do replace the file - save it then after it downloads run or open it - whatever is allowed -

The light on mine is usually red until I click on the Smartcard utilities and tell it to download the data.....then it goes to green as it is reading.

Esther,

Have you gone into Encore Pro and created a user/patient profile for yourself?

Yes, Guest, I think I'm good to go on the ecorepro and card reader. Have downloaded sleep data and everything.
Now I'm just trying to get myencore installed.
Thanks.
