Re: Getting up still a chore, bad sleep hygene?

I'm 27, I believe I've had SA since 2003, so undiagnosed for 7 years. Amazing what the body can get used to... Leak rate, from what I remember, I'm not at my computer with the data, is basically non-existant/normal. Pressure is 6cm. Aaaaaaand yea. 4.9 hours? So that's like, what, 10 or so hours befo...

Re: Increasing Gastro Probs

I had horrendous gas, from both ends, when I used a FFM. The higher the pressure, the more gas I had. I was a mouth breather, so I went from nasal pillows to FFM. I didn't think to try a chin strap. Anyway, I don't have this with the nasal pillows and chin strap I'm using now, so a nose mask or pill...

Getting up still a chore, bad sleep hygene?

Ok, I didn't get to posting my detailed data for my machine for interpretation because, well, I saw that online webinar that was posted a bit back, and can interpret it, mostly, myself. huzzah! So it's been 3 weeks since I got my nasal pillows back. I switched to the large pillows from medium on a w...

Re: Data from the last 7 days (hurray!)

It's Encore Pro only, the software for your DME or Dr. I assume Encore Anywhere is some website Phillips set up for Drs to use the software via a web browser.

Btw, check your PMs.

Re: Data from the last 7 days (hurray!)

That webinar was awesome, hadn't seen it before. Thank you! Looks like I'll be downloading data every day. I'll dig around later on and get some of those detailed reports uploaded on rapidshare or something since I don't feel like doing 12+ pictures.

Data from the last 7 days (hurray!)

So I got a hold of the software for my Phillips machine. After some headdeskbanging, I got it installed and was able to browse the data. I did a report of the last 7 days. My concern is, that while I'm feeling better during the day, I've been waking up groggy still. Dunno if an O2 meter would help s...

Re: Nasal Pillows, Lanolin, and Software

There's that little flap of skin between your nostrils, and just where it ends, hardly 3mm into my nose, is where it's sore. Swift FX and same problem here, at exactly the same point, in left nostril. I used Lansinoh since the beginning but couldn't stop the irritation. I guess there's already some...

Re: Nasal Pillows, Lanolin, and Software

Hmm, I tried the large ones (using medium atm) the first time around and I gave up on them after 2 minutes of therapy. I had to have the headgear ratcheted down super tight to get a seal, then as soon as I laid my head down or moved my head, it'd leak. I had thought of altering the mediums, but I'd ...

Re: Nasal Pillows, Lanolin, and Software

Well this is poogas. Walmart.com says the two Wal-Marts near me carry the Lansinoh brand. I sure as heck didn't find it in the pharmacy area, lotion area, or baby area at both locations... Time to break some sk... I mean, ask associates nicely to point me in the right direction. Thanks Dreamer. My l...

Nasal Pillows, Lanolin, and Software

Ok, so I got Swift FX nasal pillows and a chinstrap from my DME yesterday. She had suggested using KY, non petroleum based, to go around the nasal pillows to help with the irritation and to turn my humidifier up from 3 to 4. I couldn't find any Lanolin cream as was suggested here on the forums at Wa...

Re: Newbie CPAP issues

Well, unfortunately my medium FF mask isn't providing the therapy I need. There's no leaks, but it just isn't working 100%. Awesomely custom made T-Shirt nose guard aside, the bridge of my nose isn't getting any better. It's just in a constant numb/sensative/bruised-feeling state. With that in mind,...

Re: Newbie CPAP issues

No I haven't, I'm an airhead. I should probably try one out before going back to nasal pillows and the lanolamananin. (yes, spelling, I know) I don't mind the full face mask feel so the nose mask shouldn't be a bother.

Just gotta get that chinstrap.
