Re: comfortable full face masks other than quattro

I haven't tried the UM FF mask but I know the "Q" can be a blessing and a curse. I found the Fisher and Paykel forma more comfortable only because it has a "shelf" to put your chin in. I was getting zits around my lower lip from the quattro. Th forma doesn't have the adjustment feature at the nose t...

Re: Horrible Doctor's Appointment

Bons, Run don't walk away from that doc and staff. There is a little something called a HIPPA violation that I don't think he wants to tangle with. Besides....Klonopin? Is he kidding? That will bring a whole boatload of trouble and side effects. There are more appropriate meds for anxiety and that i...

Re: help - nasopharyngeal airway for apnea?

I agree with the other posters. I'm a nurse and we only use them on semiconscious (maybe) or comatose pt. I've not seen anyone fully awake tolerate one.
Good Luck

Re: ResMed Climate Control hose and hose wrap?

No, no, no and no. The paperwork with the climateline hose says not to cover it. You can use a cover on the slimline hose.

Re: how did you pick your avatar?

My avatar is one of my favorite pictures of all time. If I remember the story correctly, a lonely polar bear decided to make friends with several sled dogs and played with them for hours at a time over several days and had a great time was had by all. It reminds me of "the lion lying down with the l...

Re: use Tubing Wrap for S9 ClimateLine or not?

In the instructions for the climateline hose it says "Don't use a wrap on the climateline hose". You can use a wrap on the slimline hose.

Re: donating a used cpap

Hey, I talked to Mark at http://www.secondwindcpap.com and they are working with sleep apnea association to help people who can't afford a machine. They are happy to take donations. They are really easy to work with-I bought the Intellipap (new) from them. Mark is the owner. He has been a Resp. Ther...

Re: CozyHoze Boss with large slanted headboard

Sorry I don't have this system but I do have a S9 and a climateline hose. The climateline should NOT have any snuggle hose on it.
I'm sure that someone else will be a long to help you sort out the rest.

OT: Just for giggles....New Intellipap machine.

Hi all, Those of you that own a Intellipap machine with smartflex will understand the problem that I had last night. I purchased one of these machines online because I had to take the PR system one back to the DME. Aetna backed out of the buyout. Whole other story. I was really tired last night when...

Re: Any way to buy a mask w/o a RX?

Ebay is your friend too. Most sellers have the other parts listed as a "gift". Read the auction carefully as they will describe what is included. Email the seller with questions. PM me if you need help.
Good Luck,

Re: Climateline hose and S9 Heated Humidifier

Thanks Jdm
I read the post and had been doing all the right things. I'm hoping it doesn't take that long for the turn around. I really do like the climateline hose when it's working.

Re: Climateline hose and S9 Heated Humidifier

Well kiddos, I didn't call and ask and guess what. I woke up again this morning to the S9 being quiet, waaayyyy to quiet. Yup you guessed it. "heated hose failure". A quick call to CPAP.com and my worst fears came true. Now I not only have to pay for shipping to send back the humidifier AND the hose...
