Who has any ideas on how to stop the gurgling noise of water collecting in the hose? The sound wakes me in the middle of the night & it is very difficult to get back to sleep knowing in a couple hours I will have to empty the hose again. Help!

Apparently, your hose has a dip in it where water collects.
You have several choices:
1--Re-route the hose so water drains directly into the tank.
2--turn the humidifier down a notch.
3--put a snuggie on your hose.
X--others will come by with more advice.

4. Make sure the machine is lower than the mask
5. An Aussie heated hose will help

4--Just keep your hose under the covers. My cpap is at the same level as my mattress, and I have had no problem at all with rainout, using humidity at 1 or 0 (passive, but with water in the tank).

I'm betting that most folks do not need anything more than the minimal humidity settings. So I would suggest you try a few nights at passive (Zero heat, with water in the tank), and then progress upward for several nights at each setting. No need to go higher if you're comfortable and sleeping well.

Are you putting too much water in the humidifier? On mine its at about 2/3rds up the side of the container. Put too much in, you get the gurgle.
