Re: Still tired after all these years...
My sleep doctor fears my failure to recover may be due to the years my OSA went misdiagnosed and untreated. This is not good. I"m not sure this would be the case. I beleave that I has OSA long before I was Dx'ed at age 38, probably since High school. I know when I first met my wife she complained t...

Re: Res Med S9 exhale noise
The S9 seems to have that exhale noise if the humidifier reservoir is filled even a little too much. I've found that if it's just filled barely to the line, it's noticeably quieter. I don't have a problem with filling my humidifier to the line but if i go over even a little bit then I get a bubbly ...

Re: RV and Machine Placement
If it were me (but it's not ), I would build a shelf at the foot of the bed, one with hinges and just below the matress to place the cpap on. then sleep with your head at the foot of the bed.

Re: Res Med S9 exhale noise
I use the s9 and even though I can hear something when I exhale, I always assumed it was from exhaling. This is the machine I started on. My wife sleeps with a fan on low, the fan drowns out the exhale noise. Maybe I'm not hearing what you are though.

Re: Mask cushions: Control III or boiling with baking soda?
I usually wipe with a baby wipe every night and clean in a non scented dish soap once a month. I was getting a new cushion every six months but I am in a new company and different Insurance so it has been longer then six months. I think i will try the boiling method.

Re: question about brining my cpap on board an airplain.
Medications should be fine, but you can't put your lunch in your CPAP bag. I put my meds in one ziploc and as bobby269 said, each component goes in a separate ziploc. I'm not sure what a "mt meeter" is, so I can't comment on it. When going through security, I put the components in a separate bin and...

Re: Severe sleep apnea people, how did you survive before cpap?
[quote="jzap"] I have been treated for high blood pressure for years by several doctors. They kept piling the medications, one upon the other with only minor success. Each time they would add a new med, I would ask what this one should replace, and it was, "Oh, no, take this with whatever you are ta...

Re: How do I know if I am subject to compliance?
I believe that Insurance companies use compliance data to make sure you are using your machine. They don't want to pay for something that is not being used.
I would ask your insurance provider, if you haven’t already.

I was only thinking of the kids and families when I posted this thread. It would of been nice to see the "Guns are bad/ Guns are good" argument in another thread but it is as it as. In keeping with my OP I will not state whether i agree with a gun ban/control or not here. Instead I will ask that ev...

Re: S9 data loss
I had a problem with my s9 last year where it was showing 0 ahi's for 2 or 3 weeks, at first I thought Great I am doing exelent with my therapy then it seemed wierd so I shut it off and unpluged it. It fixed the problem. So now I unplug it every weekend.
