Re: OT: Remove overactive (Hyper-Kinetic) gallbladder?
Thank you for the comment. I figure all opinions are worthwhile, so why not ask? I do have a 3rd doctor appointment this coming Monday to ask my primary care doctor. I have modified my diet and that helps to a degree, but it is not a total relief.

OT: Remove overactive (Hyper-Kinetic) gallbladder?
Hi! Per the title – should I have my gallbladder removed? I am currently scheduled for surgery on the 25th but I want second, third, and fourth opinions from as many folks as I can get. I have an appointment next Monday with my primary care doctor, who has no monetary interest in the procedure, to g...

Nasal Pillows for ASV?
Good Morning, I saw the new ResMed Nasal Pillows on cpap.com and would like to try them out. I have been able to train myself (finally) to use a nasal mask rather than a FFM. My question is this - I am on a ASV that has a normal pressure of 8 / 10 but ramps up to to as high as 18 during centrals, do...

Props to CPAP.com
I just wanted to post Props to CPAP.com, our host site. I ordered a new mask a little while ago (a Wisp, hoping I can get off the FFM while on ASV, we'll see!) and per tracking the item should have arrived a week ago. I contacted CPAP.com via thier helpful online chat and the customer rep researched...

Re: Got my ASV today - old equipment available
The difference is night and day. The only "problerm" i have experienced is due to the rapid pressure changes, I have had to tighten the Quattro almost to the point it is uncomfortable. I've never been able to get the thing to work using the "loose" way that is widely suggested, I guess my face just ...

Re: Got my ASV today - old equipment available
Hi there, These are both still available if anyone wants them. The S9 has 1,503 hours on it and the PR System One has 1,975 hours on it. Per our host, the S9 lists new for $1,959 and the PR System One for $894, not counting the humidifiers and extras with both. S9 package for $500 or best offer, PR ...

Got my ASV today - old equipment available
Hello, I was set-up with a Respironics PR System One BiPAP autoSV Advanced earlier today, so I have my shiny new ASV.I am both looking forward and apprehensive about masking about tonight to see how it works. I have two machines that I have no need of and am willing to part with for a fair bargain. ...

Re: ASV Titration Tonight
Thanks for the comments. I wish I knew what the pressures were, but they didn't send me the report and didn't tell me on the phone either. I guess i'll find out Wednesday. I know it certainly wasn't 25. I have been as high as 16 before and it wasn't even that high. At least while I was awake, it act...

ASV Requires Full Face Mask?
Good Afternoon, I posted this earlier buried in an older post, but thought to make a new topic. I am switching from BiLevel to ASV next Wednesday due to lots of centrals. I was told by the Dr. and DME that I have to use a FFM with the ASV. I already use one, so that isn't a problem, but I wondered i...

Re: ASV Titration Tonight
The hospital sent the results to my Dr. yesterday, and I guess they warranted the ASV, as they ordered one from my DME yesterday afternoon. The DME then called me to schedule delivery, so next Wednesday I'll find out what kind of ASV machine I get. They also confirmed that I currently use a FFM as t...

Re: ASV Titration Tonight
Hi,
I don't know what kind it was. By the time they got it out and set up my glasses were off and I am blind as a bat without them. The tech said it was a older one as it had a humidifier, but not a heated humidifier.
