This morning I tried to research the BG C-222 CPAP battery from battery geeks. The specs seem to suggest that this will power a Resmed S8 for about 14 hrs, which is about 2 nights for me. I do not (need) use the Humidifier that much, and run pressure about 11 for the night.
Has anyone here (and wow, there seems to be a lot here) used this Battery Pack before?
What sort of luck did you have with it?
I needed one in a hurry or I would have ordered the BG C-444......
Thanks in advance!

I have the BG C-222 CPAP battery from Battery Geeks. My pressure is about 11 cmh2o and I have used an auto M series and an auto IntelliPAP with it. With either APAP, the battery lasts me two nights and about half of a third night. I really like it.

I have this same battery. When I used it with my Respironics APAP (not my current machine) set at 12cms (i.e., running in CPAP mode, with no ramp or flex employed), I got over 27 hours out of a full charge. That's about double the amount of time that the batterygeeks site indicates. Good battery, and very portable.Scrubbs wrote:This morning I tried to research the BG C-222 CPAP battery from battery geeks. With my ASV machine (which pulls a lot more juice than the average machine), I need to also use an inverter. With pressure settings of 10-20cms, I only get about 6 hours of use out of the battery before it starts alarming. (Would love to find a solar option that could run my ASV for more time, but the C-222 is still good in a pinch.)
Veni, vidi, Velcro. I came, I saw, I stuck around.
Dx 11/07: AHI 107, central apnea, Cheyne Stokes respiration, moderate-severe O2 desats. (Simple OSA would be too easy.

PR S1 ASV 950, DreamWear mask, F&P 150 humidifier, O2 @ 2L.

I posted info in the thread linked above about the 266 battery I recently purchased. I get about 30 hours on APAP 95% at around 10.....no humidifier, with the proprietary ResMed converter. I have Resmed S8 Autoset II.
The company I purchased from is also in that post......great customer service, battery is as advertised, was in stock and got to me safely and quickly.
Also, price was the best I could find at the time.....250s were selling for more than I paid for a 266

Re: BG C222 (now called 250)
Thank you for the input, makes me feel a lot better about the purchase. Price was not an issue because my medical plan covers 100% (minus shipping) and I needed it in a hurry as I am going camping for a few weeks soon. I will have access to a generator during the daytime, but for the sake of a quiet site (not the only ones there) a battery made sense (that and the power went out the other night.)
So far Battery Geeks has impressed me as they made some good recommendations (made sure I knew about the S8 adapter) and I would have liked the BG C-444 (again, cost not an issue) but they were back ordered.
I now look forward to trying it out at the lake this weekend as it is due to arrive on Thursday or Friday.
Again, many thanks!

UPDATE
(for anyone whi interested)
The battery arrived on time, which is amazing as it came from Austin Texas to Northern British Columbia faster than a letter can get from 3 blocks away to my house. After work I opened it up and realized the battery came fully charged. I decided to do a trial last night and use my Resmed S8 on DC power to test it out before I had no backup power while camping. I set the battery on the dresser and ran the cord down to the S8. after unplugging the AC power, I waited a few moments and then plugged in the DC.....
Yaaaa! All the lights came on!
Machine works!
Went to sleep at about 10:30 last night, and woke up at 5:45am for a total run time of the machine being 7hrs 15m. this is at a pressure of approx 11and no humidifier turned on (water tray was there, just at a setting of zero). I hit the test button on the battery and 4 of the 5 LED's lite up, which is great because the 5th is the warning light (red opposed to green).
Based upon this, I will also run the battery tonite to see if I can get another full night of use out of it.
While it may seem (and in finacially it is) pricey, ($514.00)to have the freedom and portablity of this unit is well worth it IF 2 or 3 nights use can be achieved with it.
