Re: Which mask is more stable - Swift Lt or Swift FX?

After using the fx for 1 1/2 years and talking with my DME about my concerns of it slipping in the back and not sealing, she gave me the lt, and I love it. It's very stable and I like the clip on top. But it's a very personal thing, and you should use the one you like the best.

Re: Any S9 owners out there, I have a question

Just turn it off. Hold down the on-off button for maybe 3 to 5 seconds and everything goes off.
Well, thanks kempo, that really works! I love this forum!

A-ha moment for nasal pillows

6 months on CPAP with mostly a good experience, and I'm off to the DME supplier to buy replacement headgear. I'm using Resmed's Swift FX headgear with nasal pillows - do you know that it now comes with pink face pads (feeling very feminine with my new nose hose). First night: leak, leak, leak, adjus...

Re: POLL: The Reasons I Keep On Coming Back To The Forum

I really don't think I would have stayed compliant without this forum either. It is soooo much more helpful than the little girl that works at the DME place.

Re: Need a pep talk (long-ish, sorry)

Well it's interesting to be reading your post...because I'm facing the same thing. I've just passed the two month time when my numbers had to be reported to the DME store for compliance for insurance payments. Now that no one is looking over my shoulder and keeping track of my compliance, the CPAP s...

Re: Just getting enlightened...new S9 user

I'm sort of new to all this and haven't tried adjusting settings to lower my AHI numbers. (consistently under 4 and once as low as 1). But I do have the climateline hose and have never had rainout. My pressure is set at 4-7 with EPR set at 3.

Retired for 2 years....was a high school library clerk for 25 years. I was too tired to go any longer for full pension benefits. Hmmm, wonder why?

Re: First Air Travel with CPAP

Just got back from vacation yesterday with my trusty CPAP. Had to go thru security in Rochester, NY and Anchorage, AK and the process in both places was a breeze. They require you to take it out of the carrier (the main section of the CPAP- not the hoses) and place it in a separate bin where they sc...

Re: New User Question re: Nasal Pillows

I love my air pillows too and route the hose up over my head, hooked on the wall. The FX even stays put sometimes when I sleep on my stomach and squash my face into the bed pillow - but sometimes it doesn't.

You fellow hose-heads put a smile on my face. A laugh-a-day keeps sleep apnea away!

Re: FORUM CATEGORIES - (Just hear me out…)

I'm fairly new and learning all the time. But sometimes questions and answers are on topics that I'm too new to understand or just not ready to deal with, and some of the more detailed topics I've just ignored. But I've received LOTS and LOTS of common sense, friendly advice from people on this foru...

Re: does nasal pillow change size and shape of your nose?

The only thing different I've noticed is that I breathe better during the day and don't wake up with a stuffy nose.
But I do know I also suffer from CNS (cute nose syndrome)...and it must be contagious because my whole family has it.

Re: How did you feel?

No, you're not just whining....well maybe a little....but at first I was very excited that something would make me sleep better and FEEL better, but after the big A-HA moment didn't really happen, I was pretty bummed for a couple of weeks. Thinking that I'd have to travel with the machine and use it...
