Encore Pro, My Encore, Data, And More

Post by snoreking » Wed Oct 26, 2005 9:01 am

Long, long time CPAP & APAP user, but new to these boards. Just stumbled in and learned about Encore Pro and My Encore. Ordered EP and the reader from Hong Kong eight days ago. The software arrived in six days, the reader in seven days. Installed them last night. Had a frustrating hour or two with installation because I couldn't get Encore Pro to see the USB reader, even though it was otherwise working. I had missed the instruction about the separate reader file on the EP software, but THANKS TO THE STEP-BY-STEP install post from COLLEGE GIRL, I got that problem solved. THANKS COLLEGE GIRL! I also downloaded and installed My Encore. It works like a champ. THANKS DEREK -- you really are amazing to make such a valuable contribution and not even charge for it.
This morning I looked at my data from last night. It was the first time in my 10 or more cpap/apap years that I have had a clue what my machines have been doing, and why! I still don't understand much of the data yet, and would note that in scouring these boards several others have requested help with understanding baselines and otherwise interpreting data. Although some scattered bits and pieces of help exist, it is one topic area that could still use some additional order and substance, despite the kind entries by many of you wonderful regulars. If I ever put together enough info to do it I'll try to repay the generosity that so many of you have given with your posts. In the meanwhile, if anyone is up to posting a bit more of guidance on how to interpret the data in Dereks wonderful program, I would appreciate it. I have read the info in the Encore Pro and My Encore links and articles, but still can't quite figure out much beyond the goal of having my disturbances be a number under 5.
Thanks again to all of you regulars. Can there be a better gift than to help give someone a decent nights rest?
