Excellent point. He could also wrap several loops of electrical tape around the exit before re-attaching the existing hose, making a tighter fit.

Re: Using resmed S9 without the humidifier
Is there a way in the settings to turn off the humidifier myself? I don't want to use any water. I had detached the humidifier from the rest of the S9 unit, but the climate line tubing hose won't stay in tightly when I connect it into the other part of the unit. I'd also like to turn off the heat f...

Good article on longevity and importance of sleep
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/03/28/andrew-steele-how-to-fight-aging-and-live-healthier.html My sleep docs have always stated 7.5 hours is optimal for the vast majority of adults, and to avoid naps. If one naps, it should be under 30 minutes. There are about 16 rules to enhance good sleep. Love the one ...

Re: Sleep apnea and deviated septum
Reminds one of the famous quotes, consistent with surgeries done, sometimes needlessly:
A chance to cut is a chance to cure
The patient won't heal without the steel
So hydrate and operate

Re: Sleep apnea and deviated septum
@physician thanks for feedback. I have tried using Afrin before. It clears up my nose for sure. But then rebounds badly the next day even more blocked than the first time. Even after using it once. So I dont use it at all. Then use it concommitantly with Flonase** or Nasocort, and stop the Afrin af...

Re: Sleep apnea and deviated septum
A buddy had this same nasal obstruction. His doc told him In order to determine what percent of the problem is due to turbinate hypertrophy, try over-the-counter Afrin nasal spray which has oxymetazoline. Proper use is important. Blow your nose completely then one-two sprays each nostril. Wait 1/2 h...

Re: Ever used an SD Card extender with your CPAP unit ?
I ordered the cord: 1. I remove the card at least monthly 2. The end of the extension has no moving parts, unlike the machine 3. Far more convenient. No cover to open. 4. End of extension can be secured to prevent pulling at the machine slot. Will see if the side cover can be closed when the cable ...

Re: Ever used an SD Card extender with your CPAP unit ?
Has anyone's sd card mechanism worn out? No, but I have learned SD cards in laptops are unreliable and tend to corrupt files. I never count on SD for storage, just quality hadr drives and usb 3.1 or better. I know SD is all cpaps use but move the files to a better storage media if tou want to archi...
