CPAP PRO REVISITED

Post by snoreking » Thu Oct 20, 2005 1:49 pm

Thought Id try it, primarily because of claims that it is quiet or quieter. Not for me! I'm out the $180.00, and it's it's noisier than any of my three previous machines (over the last 8 years.) Actually, it doesn't work for me at all for several reasons.
First, the pillows, though adjustable, can't adjust enough to fit my schnoz. Second, though quiet at very low pressure, at medium or high pressure it's like a wind tunnel. And third, after years of sleeping with my mouth shut, the insertion of the mouth piece means my mouth must be open at least a little. That breaks the seal so I start exhaling through my mouth. That is a very different dynamic once one is used to nose only inhale/exhale.

Though I yearn for it to work to be free of the mask, it just isn't ready for prime time yet, at least at my pressure levels and with my snout size.
