The Micro-SD card fits behind your ear for FDA/NIOSH approved firmware upgrades and data dumps. A 16GB card can also keep video of your grandkids and your cell phone address book and is bluetooth capable.

I've been following this for awhile. I'd consider it.

The freedom to be without the hose would be heaven to me. I don't have a problem using cpap but if this device works I'd very seriously consider it.

I think I'll stick with CPAP. That option just doesn't appeal to me.

Someone on this forum posted that his mother already got this device. About a year ago, wasn't it? Any further word from that poster?

And, I've already gone Droid. Haven't filled up my 16g yet, but my BF is furiously downloading apps like a freakin' teenager. He told me in February if he was still playing with it at the dinner table in 30 days I could shoot him. Ya'll will be character witnesses when I go to trial, right?

LOL,
B.

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

Well, B., you were never convicted over the other ones you shot, so you should get off this time too, I would think.

I'll reserve judgement until after the trial.

One part of the brochure is interesting, tho... It claims that those with untreated OSA are 3.6 times more likely to die than others. "It is also associated with a significant increase in the risk of death."

I'd like to see THAT data!

The OSA patient died quietly in his sleep.
Unlike his passengers who died screaming as the car went over the cliff...

I don't think so. You may be remembering mdpooch's mother who had implanted the Gastric Stimulator - (Enterra Therapy) on April 2,2009. It is a similar device. search.php?st=0&sk=t&sd=d&author_id=35656

Up to 4% of the population suffers from obstructive sleep apnea. In a previous study, Dr. Mohsenin and his colleagues showed that people with sleep apnea are three times more likely to suffer a stroke or die, compared to people in a similar state of health but without sleep apnea.--http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/20 ... 100009.htm

This is how you can tell Rooster's doing his cpap therapy better than me.

Maybe I should change my filters or something... I'm too sleepy...

LOL,
B.

I seriously doubt that the good Dr (and his colleagues) actually showed that those WITHOUT OSA are three times more likely to live FOREVER.

Unless Jesus was in the study group, the "risk of death" noted in the brochure is 100% for all participants. Had they said "earlier death" I would buy that. But they didn't.
