How many have the Quattro"FX" mask ?

Post by pratzert » Mon Nov 15, 2010 2:09 pm

While searching the web for more info on the Resmed Quattro FFM, I ran across info concerning a "new" Quattro mask dubbed the "FX".

It's does show up on the Resmend site, but I wanted to do a side-by-side comparison of this new "FX" with the Regular Quattro.

I read that someone in Australia has one already and apparently loves it.

Anyone here more familiar with the Resmed stuff who can point out the differences between the FX and regular Quattro masks ?

Thanks.

I finally was able to get the Army to get me new stuff after having most of what I have come from my own pocket. I told the DME here that I have to use that was one of the masks that I wanted to try. I hope that they have it.

Resmed is an Australian company...I don't think the new Quattro is available in the USA yet.

It looks like the regular Quattro but without the forehead support structure.

AFter more research, it may be availbale in the US in December.

I guess I'll go ahead and get the smaller size of the regular Quattro and wait for the FX to appear and start reading the feedback on it.

So it's obviously creeping it's way into the market.

I'll have to wait for it to reach my DME.... the most evil Crapria.

It sure looks much more comfortable than the regular Quattro. Maybe because it looks lighter and less complicated.

Time will tell... but I'm really looking forward to some user reviews.

I notice that this site is discounting Resmed products...masks and cpaps....I thought that was not allowed by Resmed

Would there be any concern about the upper straps slipping? The photo shows them pretty high up on the cheekbones.

That might be the case LSAT, which makes it a good thing that I'm stationed in Germany.

DoriC, I'll look into it if I'm able to get that mask.

I e-mailed cpap.com yesterday and they will be carrying it, but they do not know when it will be available.

I know that Respironics won't allow dealers to list their actual price if it is lower than the MSRP, and most dealers have ways of communicating the actual price to you while listing the MSRP. I am not certain about Resmed, but I have seen varying prices for Resmed products. I have a vague recollection that ResMed tried and failed at the same or similar thing that Respironics is doing.

Got a phone call a bit earlier from my DME. If I understood the person right, and I might not have due to his accent, I should be getting the Quattro FX on Tuesday along with the Mirage Softgel.
