Forum suggestion for Johnny

No, its not about topics!!

I was thinking that in order to stop the problems that people have with the pictures of equipment vs the text, is it possible to have a mouse-over function that will bring up a window/pop-up with a description of the device. I know that clicking on the pic will take you to the store page, but that is sometimes a bit much when you have 20 forum threads open at once. (Well, that's how I follow the forum!)

As a relative newbie I'm not familiar with all the machines and masks and there are times when the pics help me relate to the equipment better than the descriptive text.... and vise versa.




Now of course, this may well have been discussed before and shot down and I'm about to get my a%$ flamed so I'll just get a fire extinguisher and go sit in the corner.

I fully support your suggestion! I think I had seen it suggested once before too; not sure if the forum software can support this or what.

(or just eliminate the option for images vs text descriptions).

I can't speak for Johnny, but personally I consider it a very subtle, effective, nonintrusive way to have some direct links to cpap.com. I really appreciate that this forum is not overshadowed by heavy-handed advertising linking it to cpap.com, and for that reason (and many others) I don't begrudge the equipment-picture links to cpap.com. But hey, that's just me.

The pictures serve no useful purpose (they ALL look the same) so I vote to just use the text - which also links you to cpap.com but gives you clues about what you are going there to see.

I concur... if Newbie's are allowed to vote ... it would be much better than current.

The note to CPAP.com would help advertise or... there could be a separate link if that's the purpose of the pix instead of text. DreamDiver has the code work...
