Cpap headgear

Post by hcolema1 » Tue May 12, 2020 7:14 pm

Should the cpap headgear go all the way to the back of your neck or just the back of your head. I'm trying to see if I'm putting my mask on right I'm dealing with discomfort a little bit

You may find it's different for you than in any instructional video. This has been the case for me anyway. Followed every mask fitting tutorial to the letter. I have yet to find a mask/headgear that I can actually sleep with.

+1
I haven't found a single headgear that works alone with any mask I've tried. Various additional straps or padding are almost always required. I end up looking like a The Mummy cast extra reject.

Try the papcap or one of Pad A Cheek's wraps or straps specific to your mask headgear. Whatever it takes to work.

Where does it hurt?
Try to avoid pressure on that spot--padding, adjustment, etc.
Not all headgear fit every head properly.
You might need to use an alternate headgear, or alter the one you have.
