Itching around nose issues
I have been a CPAP user for almost 3 years and lately have been struggling with itching around my nose. I use a hybrid ResMed F40 Mask and it seems to be working well. I believe that the itching could be caused by a combination of the contact of the mask, possibly ...

Re: Help! Shingles on face need new mask ASAP
... And the second time around I used aloe gel on the shingles rash areas, and that really helped speed up healing even more. And decreased the itching and associated pain a lot. Now I've had the two-shot shingrix vaccine and really hope that I'm done with shingles :-). I'd had the old single ...

Re: Brand new user, is this normal?
... 8 solid hours. Feel great. But... I've got red skin everywhere it touched and dry peeling appearance. Not really an allergic reaction (like no itching, no little bumps like with eczema flares) but just looks like very dry skin and I assume it's my skin's reaction to the pressure of the mask ...

mask liner alter the fit of the mask?
I have used mask liner in the past and it helps reduce noise, sometimes prevent leaks and reduce itching. I noticed that it sometimes alters the fit of the mask. I currently wear a hybrid mask F 40 by Resmed. Has anyone found that the fit seems tighter using the liner and ...

Re: New Facemask - Red nose....In the NHS healthcare system
NHS--what country are you in?
How recent is the redness?
Is there pain, itching, or roughness?
Does the red area has any contact with the mask?
You could treat it like a mild allergy--otc benadryl or cortisone ointment.
If it still does not respond, then you should pester the docs more.

Re: First night with new ASV (AirCurve 10 ASV)
... My AHI has gone way up to around 20 in this 'basic CPAP mode', but that's to be expected. Biggest problem I'm running into now is that my nose is itching like crazy in the middle of the night - this is a new phenomenon! I'm having to remove the mask just to scratch my nose, which is very disruptive. ...
