This discussion forum is SO much better than some of the ones that I have visited. The people here are liking talking to your next door neighbor.

Everyone is so "down to earth" and so helpful and sincere. Y'all have been a large help to me and I am sure to many others.

Thanks for your help and especially for listening to me

What I particularly like about this forum is the freedom of speech.

I have stumbled accros similar sites ( as I am sure we all have )which are heavily vetted/censored. I have found this very off putting and to a certain extent offensive and I do not feel comfortable in even visiting these sites for short periods of time which, I now refuse to do, out of a matter of sheer principle.

I value the CPAP talk boards not only for the wealth of information but also for this apparent freedom. Yes things do get a bit heated from time to time, but that is life! It reflects real life!

Anyone who is abusive or offensive towards another person, is dealt with appropriately which is correct and as it should be, which I think the admin handles very well, without being too heavy handed.

The vetting I saw on other sites was, at times, what I would describe as inappropriate. (I hope I am not mistaken in what I saw).

I noticed that there often seemed to be a 'hidden agenda' behind the vetting by the people who ran the forums, which I find rather sad. I refuse to have anything to do with people who need to resort to that sort of behavior and those sort of tactics.

They seem to be generously providing people with the forum on the one hand and with the other making them pay for it dearly, by not allowing those people to freely express themselves, which I think is a very high price to pay for being able to use the forum.

I am a fan of Cpaptalk, as this does not seem to be happening here as yet.

Heh, Tenpin. I sure agree with you. I'm new here, but have found only friendly and caring people.

Fifi.....I haven't been to other sites, but don't want to run into the kind of people you, obviously, have. Being a "newbie" has its perks. I feel blessed to have found the cpap forum. Nita

I wouldn't be in the condition I am today if it weren't for the wonderful people here.

And you should have included yourself, Wading thru the Muck, plus Rested Gal and Derek and many others too numerous to mention. Of course, we can't forget Johnny Goodman who is certainly entitled to a lot of the credit for keeping the forum operating so smoothly even with the little "snags" that occur from time to time as they do and will by allowing the users to express their varied opinions which can and do cause a little "heat" to arise occasionally.
I have certainly been blessed by this forum and I appreciate each and everyone of you and your posts and the info I have personally gleaned from you. Certainly beats having to learn all the errors first-hand with this new way of sleeping.
Thanks again one and all and may God bless each of you.
