Re: How often do you replace your humidifier chamber?
I have been using a machine for 8 years and my wife has been using one for 6 years. We have replaces two water tanks because one of the hinge pins broke on each of them. Even we can get our supplies for zero out of pocket cost, we use them as long as we can before changing them.

Re: Choosing a mask
As previously mentioned, mask selection is a very personal thing. Zonker found his preferred mask after two tries. I have been using a machine for over 8 years, and still try out any new mask that comes on the market that looks interesting. I usually purchase them from CPAP.COM. I have returned some...

Re: Blocking exhaust with hand
If he likes the way the Simplus fits, he may also like the Resmed F20. On the F20, the air exits through the elbow. The exit holes are covered by a baffle that makes it very hard to feel the exiting air. The Resmed F30 expels the air the same as the F20. The F30i has holes in the front of the mask a...

Re: OT: Heads up on my personal issues
Putting your mother in a care facility is the best thing you could do. My brother insisted on taking care of his wife by his self, and ended up letting his own health go down during the process. We lost her in the spring of 2013 and then lost him around labor day of the same year. He had gone outsid...

Re: VAuto Pressure Chart
It will only change the pressure if it senses a need to do so. The question is how is your AHI and how well are you sleeping?

Re: air flow (volume) and air pressure?
It's both. The amount of air coming through the hose is determined by the pressure setting. The higher the pressure, the higher the amount of air flowing through the hose. Lower pressure means less air flowing through the hose.

Re: AirFit F20 hurts
Finding the best mask is perhaps the hardest part of the CPAP journey. I have gone through several masks since I started. Every face is unique and what works for one person may not work for someone else. My wife and I used the F20 for three or four years, then we switched over to the Evora last summ...

Re: Reading OSCAR #2
I don't see anything that screams fix me. The only possible change would be a slight increase in your minimum pressure. Your machine will only help with your sleep apnea, not other causes of crappy sleep.

Re: Help reading wifes data
Some people are disturbed by the pressure changes. Looking at the data, I recommend raising minimum pressure to ten and try that for a few nights and see how she does.

Re: Evora Full Face masks
I have been using the Evora since shortly after it came out. I haven't checked Oscar lately, but my machine shows the excess leakage is within limits.
