I was told by my doctor not to focus so much on pressure used, and AHI, I had brought in the card from my APAP and he refused to read it or look at it. He said: "I am more far more worried about how you are worrying about the OSA and CPAP, than I am worried about your mild apnea." However, I am now ...

I wonder, I usually get an AI of 0 or at the most .1, but an AHI of 2 to 3.1 and a leakage of about .4, (sometimes lower). Could it be that I would notice an improvement if I got a better AHI or a better fit? WHenever I adjust my swioft nasal pillows tighter, I wake up in pain from the pressing of t...

I brought my card and data to sleep doctor. he said "I don;t want to see that, I am much more worried about your coping and worrying about it than I am about your sleep apnea." And when i asked the famous NYU sleep center, where Dr Krieger writes world famous research articles about slee[p apnea, if...

And I would volunteer for a trial just to get access to doctors who are not being paid by insuarnace and don't file everything with employer! I need to talk about the utter misery of life as a SA pt. and the diffciulty in coping emotionally, the dark cloud of negative thinking which threatens me eve...

I sort of chose... When I found out that the DME had sent me a CPAP even though I was perscribed an autoPAP (after a disastrous titration), they said we could give you another Remstar, same as you have but in auto version, but you would have to wait for it to come in, or we could give you a Resmed ri...

The reality is that many of us only check the board and submit messages when things are worrying or upsetting us about our OSA and CPAP. In my case that is only some of the time, I am not a real success story, I haven't been significantly less tired, less depressed, lower blood pressure, easier weig...

Blow nose as hard as possible... spray AYR gel one full spray, more than that seems to congest me, less doesn't do the trick, wipe the Swift with alcohol-free wipes, fiddle with it trying to ghet in just right, hope it doesn't leak too much, try to sleep, try the otehr side, back again... adjust the...

i have used the Swift and am not complaining, but have been blowing my nose and dripping away all day. When I use AYR spray and an alcohol fre cleansing wipe every night it becomes like a mild cold, when I didn't use them I was terribly sore. The machine reports a perfect fit... I thought if I switc...

My lab titration was for 7 cm. with the note added that "improvement of sleep apnea and desaturation with CPAP but residual events remain." AHI was 6 with CPAP and 13 in REM... untreated in first study, I had only 6 in REM!!! Anyway, eventually I got my way and received a Resmed auto, now the pressu...

You could have a weekend vacation and a study for much less than they quoted. Then I wodner about the...

When first diagnosed it was very important to me to have the hope that with weight loss I will be cured, despite my doctor's pointing out that it is not that likely in my case. He had made the diagnosis based on the shape of my airways, didn't have otehr obvious symptoms, being tired when working ti...

My experience with bandits running DMEs has been typical, I was prescribed an autopap and they delivered a CPAP and told me it was an autopap. When I suspected something was not right, and after buying a card reader etc. for the Remstar Pro, I checked the serial number with Rspironics and discovered...
