Re: weight loss and sleep apnea
I lost about 20 pounds when I initially started using my bi-pap.

Re: Just ordered Hybrid mask
Good luck with it! I've used the Liberty successfully for almost a year and a half now. Didn't even make it through one night with the Hybrid. Everybody's different. Hope it works well for you!

Re: Unsupportive Spouse
OK, I'm going to go out on a limb here, Resister, and disagree with all the posters who say it is about your husband. With all due respect, I think it's about you. This is your resistance to change. Your blaming it on your husband is a convenient way to deflect and not have to face up to your own re...

Re: Hello Again & Problem
Is your insurance through an employer? You should be able to contact your benefits department, explain your dilemma and ask them to get a definitive answer for you (preferably in writing).
Good luck!

Re: How often do you conciously wake up each night?
Pre-CPAP, I used to wake up five or six times a night to use the bathroom. For as long as I remember. Now, I still wake up as often, but never to use the bathroom. I seem to wake up every time I need to roll over. I find I get uncomfortable and need to roll.

Re: sleeping on the right pillow
I used the pillow made from buckwheat hulls. I originally got it after reading about it here. I hated it because it was too hard. But I went back to it. Then I switched again looking for something better. But am back with it once again. It is hard but I've gotten used to that. I find that softer pil...

Two Year Anniversary - Thank You!
It's been just over two years since I've joined this forum and about two years and a month since I started my xPAP journey. I don't come here nearly as often anymore as things have stabilized well and life is good! I'm sleeping very well. My main annoyances are occasional mask leaks, but there's usu...

Re: Frustrated
Hi! I'm not a frequent visitor to the forum anymore, so forgive me if this is addressed elsewhere. As a Mirage Liberty user, I'm wondering if you have abandoned that mask completely or if you think there are things that can be done to make it work for you? Where exactly was it leaking? I've used the...

Re: I need a mask supplier that is in the BCBS network
I've used Apria for almost two years now. I can't really complain about them. There was a small amount of confusion on one re-order and a small billing dispute, but it was all cleared up with a few phone calls. I'm not real needy though and haven't asked for anything special.

Re: Mask for life
I have used the second mask I tried for 20 of the 22 months I'd used xpap. It (Mirage Liberty) seems to do the job for me with minimal fuss. BUT I remain on the lookout for something better to come along. About a year ago, I tried the Hybrid after reading so many glowing reviews about it, but I neve...

Preventing Air from Blowing on my Partner
Hi Everybody! I'm not here much anymore as I'm almost two years into my treatment and things are going well. Right now, however, I wondered if I can hear some ideas for how people keep the cold air from blowing on their sleeping partner at night. I sleep on my side and always use a hugging pillow. I...

Re: POLL: How do many of us sleep at night?
Explaining my Other vote: I fall easily to sleep. Unless I'm very stressed out, I sleep pretty well. BUT I wake up multiple times a night. It seems that every time I roll over, I wake up. Partly because I need to adjust my pillow and mask, but also, I need to adjust my body and PJ's. I'd guess I wak...
