Re: Water in mask without humidifier on
I have to say "Amen" to what has been said already. I had moisture in my Hybrid and thought it was drool. I made a heated hose with the reptile heater cord ( total cost $19.50) and now no problem, so it was moisture from breath.

Re: Case of returning open mouth
the only sure way is to tape lips for a while and hope you get into the habit of keeping lips shut, most of us do My beard and mustache doesn't allow taping. I had hoped that I had learned to keep my mouth shut (so does my wife but that's a different subject). Last night I used the pillows again an...

Case of returning open mouth
I started out with the Optilife and really enjoyed it but I had mouth leakage so I ordered a Hybrid and I isn't as comfortable but worked well and it held my mouth shut. I decided to try the Optilife again and slept several nights fine but last night I kept waking up with air blowing out my mouth. W...

Re: Time to replace my Quattro's cusion ~ question
I don't have the mask but this is from cpap.com: Remember that a small cushion fits on small masks, medium on medium masks, and large on large masks. Each frame has a specific size so mixing cushions will not work as it does on ResMed nasal masks. The whole page is here https://www.cpap.com/productp...

Re: Hybrid Users--I need Advice, Please ?
I have a Liberty I haven't been able to stop leaks around the corners of my mouth. I had the same problem and found that I had to raise the whole mask closer to my nose. The Hybrid has an adjustment on the top of the head that the Liberty doesn't. So I used a safety pin and took up an inch of slack...

Re: Headgear strap leaving a bad cowlick in my hair
I'm on the other side of the issue. My hair is so straight that I use to wake up with the worlds worse "bed head".Now the straps actually hold my hair down.
I know what that means and I'm not that old.. or am I... "A little dab'll do ya"?? ...(Someone explain that to the youngsters) ..

Re: loose teeth
What kind of mask are you using? I was going to ask that? When I used a Liberty my top teeth were hurting an I discovered that I was wearing it too low and was putting pressure on my teeth and after three nights I felt that my top teeth were going to fall out. Make sure you are wearing your your ma...

Re: How long did it take you to get your machine?
I went to my doctor in November and told him I thought I had sleep apnea and that I had met my deductible (due to wife having baby) and if it was possible to have things wrapped up be fore year end. Two days later the sleep lab called and got me in in two weeks. Three days they called me in for my t...

mask lifespan?
I have a Hybrid and an Optilife and was wondering how long the pillows last (plus mouth seal for Hybrid) as well as the frames for each one and the headgear. I have a very high deductible and was wondering how much I should plan on. I know some insurance companies will replace the pillows every two ...

Re: Please tell me it will get better...please?
I started a little over a month ago and it can get better. I too keep laying there adjusting and feeling for leaks. I started with the nasal pillows myself but I'm also a mouth breather and couldn't adjust, like you said too many changes at once. Here are acouple of things that helped me. 1. If you n...

Re: Wii Fit Comments?
Got the Wii as a family gift along with the fit plus w/board. The activities are fun and very much a workout. We were faith with it a few weeks. But it is as with anything you have to keep it up. I haven't "used it" for a few weeks, don't get me wrong, I still play with it but for fun. The real test...

Self Help or Forum Addiction?
I find myself coming back to this forum several times a day and spend much time reading all I can and even doing random searches just to learn more. I think I am improving my life but my wife is concerned that I am becoming obsessed and even accused me of being addicted to this place.... I assured h...

Re: firtst night of Apap, reading report help (nite 2)
Night 3 http://i774.photobucket.com/albums/yy25/imacpaper/1-8TaborJohn.jpg Last question on this ...at least for now. On the Apap pressure what is the deal with all the spiking? I understand that the machine senses when I need more pressure but should it bounce like this? I also noticed that the spi...
