UPDATE:

Post by dsm » Sun Sep 25, 2005 11:12 pm

Polaris ISP9800 (the spaceship shaped model) turned up & it appears to be
a reboxed F&P22x model.

Same sound on start up the F&P blower is flywheel controlled & it cranks up in a very distinctive way & keeps running for quite a few seconds when turned off as the flywheel loses energy.

Also the info in the display is the exact same as an F&P 22x even down to then displaying 18 (max cms) then switching to the assigned cms.

The general specs are identical (0-18cms, ramp settings, display data, etc:).

Next thing will be to dismantle both and compare components as final proof.

We still don't know if the Polaris ISP3000 (& ISP5000) is(are) F&P as well. Maybe we'll get one someday & lab rat it too

Cheers

DSM
