Re: So how's that new Respironics machine coming?

I'm a new CPAP user about a month into therapy, and the new Respironics machine is treating me fine. I'll start with the good. First, the humidifier: I'd have to report that their use of both temperature and humidity sensors works out quite well. I've slept in two different rooms so far; one very co...

Re: New ResMed and Fisher & Paykel machines

Any chance that the Dr. mentioned the name or model # of the new F & P machine? Sorry, no talk of model or any specifics at all. He only mentioned their 'brand new upcoming' Auto with respect to the pricepoint. It wasn't even a tangent to our converstaion, just a one-shot comment intended to prove ...

Re: Yet Another DME struggle

Since you mentioned United Healthcare by name, I'd recommend you check their website for other candidate DMEs nearby. Even if you haven't registered for it, or forgot your account, the publicly-accessible portion of the http://myuhc.com website allows for physician, hospital, and [durable] medical e...

Re: Newcomer thanks and progress

Thanks Dori, you're almost certainly right about the oxygen effect. My split study showed a floor-level of 75 for my oxygen saturation without therapy, and then a floor-level of just under 90 during the titration. My doctor dismissed that second value as non-representative, and seemed to assume it w...

Newcomer thanks and progress

Hi folks. I want to start off by saying thanks to the board hosting/sponsorship, and to all the members for sharing. I've been reading various posts and some of the wiki for just over a week now, and am done with my first week of CPAP therapy. The information and advice here definitely helped. My sc...
