I have never had to replace mine. But I will if they distort out of shape, if they stiffen and crack, or I just flat can't get them to seal. soaking them in vinegar and water always bring mine back to life.

Hi Barnaby!

If they still seal well, feel fine, and you feel fine, they're still good for you.

If your insurance pays for replacements every so often, heck, go ahead and get more even if you don't really need them right at the moment. Keep building up a stash of newer ones for future emergencies or replacement.

If you're paying for them yourself, keep on taking as good a care of them as you've been doing. To me "good care" means as little cleaning/handling as possible, and keeping them away from sunlight.
