to your tubing, to make connection & disconnection (either with the blower or to & from a stand-alone humidifier) simpler and prolong the life of the rubber hose endings.

Depending on your equipment & arrangement, an assortment of M-M connectors (great for cleaning hoses), and the harder-to-find F-F connectors, can also come in handy (e.g. for quick-mask-disconnect hook-ups).

Cable-ties & paper clips are invaluable for hooking up hoses to ad-hoc "wire coat hanger" brackets over a headboard.

Do you (or anyone else here) know if the M-F connector shown on the thread you referenced fits onto the air outlet of the ResMed H4i integrated humidifier? If so, that would be great for my setup!

I just tried two of these plumbing connectors on an H3i outlet, and I'm sorry to report that they're too loose. They do fit nicely on Fisher & Paykel humidification chamber ports, but those ports appear to be tapered, while the H3i seems cylindrical. They also fit well enough on my ResMed blower outlet itself, and on most (though not all) of assorted other adapters in my collection. I wouldn't want to speculate whether the plumbing connectors are a bit too large (though of course they're not made for this function) or whether the Humidaire outlet is a bit too small.

I also have two right-angle M-F connectors "Made in New Zealand" by Fisher & Paykel, part number 693040682, which fit nicely on the H3i. As I recall, I removed them from a F&P connecting hose.

I think what most people mean by that is Mac's earplug silicone. That can be found in the ear care aisle of drug stores or WalMart, K-Mart stores.

Mac's is a soft silicone that can be squished and molded in your hand to stuff in your ear as a "custom" ear plug. It's so pliable, you can roll it between your palms to make it into a slender "rope" of silicone, then place pieces of the little rope along the leaky areas (or painful pressure points) of your mask's cushion... so that the Mac's is wedged between the cushion and your face.

Silly Putty would be in toy departments.

In regards to your quote re: M-F connectors, would they fit on my F&P 608? It has ThermaSmart technology with F&P heated tube.

I have my backup mask, and I am going to crochet a hose cover.

I have always wondered if I shouldn't have been born male, because I adhere to the KISS theory as well

I would like a card reader, but funds are too tight at the moment to even think about that, and I got my machine after my parents had purchased my Christmas gift, so perhaps it will go on my birthday wish list in June.

I am trying to keep is simple. If I find I need something I get it when I need it not before hand. I had looked at many things and figured why since I could use something else.
I looked at mask wipes for when I travel---- If I am traveling I have a bar of soap for bathing and can wash the cushion for my mask with that if need be. I do however keep spare parts around for the mask and extra filters for the machine.
