Swift LT nasal pillows
I have noticed comments in this forum before on the lowered quality of the swift LT pillows and I can definitely attest to that. After almost three months use I changed out the original pillow that came with the mask to the new version. The original lasted that three month before the diaphram weaken...

Re: USB adapter or SmartCard Reader for use with ResScan?
Unless your computer is alongside your cpap machine, get the reader or you will be carrying your machine to your desk daily. Also get the Rsmed reader. There are elsewhere on this site sad stories of members trying mightily to make a generic version work with limited success. The reader and the USB ...

Re: AIR FLOW QUESTION ON THE RESMED ELITE MACHINE
rested gal;
I continue to be amazed at the level of knowledge and references at your finger tips. I am highly impressed and read your posts habitually.
I am happy to know that I am not running my beautiful machine into the dust or abusing it in any way as it has become my bosom buddy.
Thankyou

AIR FLOW QUESTION ON THE RESMED ELITE MACHINE
I have just discovered something about the air flow when the start/stop button is pushed. I push the button when I arise, read the results, disconnect the hose and hang up the mask. I have noticed a perceptable flow of air even after the button is pushed. It cannot be felt on a full face mask but ca...

Re: newbie nose feels "tired" of cpap, any suggestions?
Becky, you may want to try slackening the straps a little. Your mask sounds like mine which is a Swift LT. I found that the mask seals to your nose using the air pressure force into the diaphram...the little web inside the pillow. If you have the straps too tight then the pillow is crushed to your n...

DISILLUSIONMENT.
After two and a half months of CPAP, I have made a conscious effort to assess its worth together with the worth of the sleep doc and DME and come to the following conclusions. !: I have gleaned all my knowledge of cpap for what it is from this forum. 2: My sleep doc seems to have lost interest once ...

Re: A NIGHT FROM HELL
DREAMON, You have a good point of course. I don't think I am a mouth breather, but as you say I am not aware of what happens in REM, otherwise it would not be REM. The odd thing however is that when I tried the quattro, it took my leak down to 0.2 but made negligible difference to AHI. This leads me...

Re: AHI of 5 -- would you CPAP?
I am assuming that your Mother-in law is a Medicare recipient? If so and if you are expecting Medicare to cover the treatment, you are most likely going to be disappointed. Medicare at least until recently would only cover conditions at AHI30 or over. I believe that that number may be changed to 15 ...
