Hi everyone,
I'm a member back from 2005. I've had a REMStar AutoPap for 5+ years and would like to buy a new, more updated machine. I use a humidifier, too. What's the best machine out there now thats a quiet, reliable, APAP?

excellent point! I have added it to the APAP page. That's what is so great about Wikis, they are interactive, so when you see something off or missing just sign in and chime in and add the material you want to see!

Indeed. The Wiki is great. One feature of the Intellipap is the non-software data capacity. For Mac OSX or Linux users, it is invaluable in monitoring one's own therapy. Logging onto cpap.com, or DeVilbiss gives the user the option of 1, 7, 30, 90 and usage data that is more than sufficient for therapy monitoring. If one wants more, they get the software packages and suffer with Windows, using Boot Camp.

I LOOOOVE my IntelliPap! It made a huge difference from my M Series. Much more comfortable.

Yes, the IntelliPAP is also heralded as an extremely quiet machine, which is good for bed partners: wiki/index.php/Partners_and_CPAP#Quiet_Equipment. You may already have your answer after all our replies, but it's really useful to read many user reviews before a purchase like this. They reveal what you could expect with a product.

The DeVilbiss team (that's who make IntelliPAPs) are also quick to come onto the forum and answer questions about the equipment, which makes SUCH a difference in treatment.

Yeah, and yay!!! A manufacturer who LISTENS to the end-users!!! I want an IntelliPAP bi-level auto .... but .... *sigh*

That information is outdated, Puritan-Bennett has become Covidien and their current machine is called the Sandman Auto. I got mine as a warranty replacement when my PB 420E died about a year ago.

It is fully data-capable (shows a lot of data just on the screen, too) and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE it. I can't hear it from about 3' away, let alone my husband hearing it, and it's tiny and lightweight. It has a built in heated humidifier (you can also get it without). The only problem is that it makes noise if the humidifier tank isn't set correctly on the heating plate. It doesn't have exhale relief or auto-on, however, and you can't pre-heat the humidifier. I've gotten used to all those things (the 420E was the same way) but it might bother some people.
